DWCS season 4 week 1 discussion and results

Dana White’s Contender Series (previously called Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series) is a separate promotion from the UFC, owned by UFC president Dana White, who fulfilled a long-time goal of creating a show like boxing’s Friday Night Fights from the 1950s. Its purpose is to generate compelling content for UFC Fight Pass and to scout talent for the league. It debuted in 2017.

The best two or more fighters are typically offered UFC contracts. Fighters who entered the league through DW(TN)CS include Sean O’Malley, Greg Hardy, Antonina Shevchenko, Maycee Barber, Edmen Shahbazyan, and Sodiq Yusuff. Seasons typically last eight or more weeks, with episodes on successive Tuesdays.

There have been three seasons to date, and a truncated, non-live season for domestic television in Brazil in 2018, with three episodes.
