Lou Neglia: The busiest man in fight business
In one month, ROC founder Lou Neglia will have worked on four events, two his own and two international productions.
The weekend of October 13th, Lou assembled the complete undercard for Bellator: Fedor vs Sonnen. Through his matchmaking skills, he assembled ten of the event's 15 bouts. Soon after, Lou brought his famous Combat at the Capitale back to New York. It was another sold-out event where each fighter brought their “A” game and fans got their monies worth. He’s said many times before that this was the best Combat at the Capitale ever, and it’s because these fighters are getting better. Lou feels that tough fights make great fighters and that is what’s taking place with each event.
This coming weekend Lou teams up with GLORY International which brings GLORY 61 to Manhattan Center Hammerstein Ballroom, New York, NY on Friday, November 2, where he set up eight fighters for the undercard.
And if that’s not enough, Lou will be a guest of Dana White at #UFC230 this Saturday, November 3! Five ROC alumni are on this card; Chris Weidman, Julio Arce, Lyman Good, Shane Burgos, and Brian Kelleher. Ring of Combat has sent more fighters to the UFC than any other promotion. These fighters are some of the best ever to enter the ROC cage and now they’re on the biggest stage in the world, the UFC.
From there he’ll close out 2018 when he brings the internationally known Ring of Combat back to the Tropicana Showroom in Atlantic City, New Jersey on Friday, November 16.
No time for rest, bring on 2019!!!
