Foxwoods MGM Grand will be hosting the first ever World Cup of Mixed Martial ArtsTM as WCMMA Team Portugal challenges WCMMA Team USA and Team China challenges Team USA in a Superfight series for three world titles in the Middle Wt., Light Wt., and Featherweight divisions. Representing the Chinese in the Super Fights will be their MMA sensation Yang "The DRAGON" Jianping, Wang "The BOSS" Sai, and Yao "The MASTER" Honggang. All three are national champions with extensive backgrounds in both striking and grappling. Legendary Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Master Ricardo Liborio leads Team USA, while Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Master Kleber Repholo leads Team Portugal. These two countries will be facing each other in an International Battle Challenge where nations from around the world face off in efforts to capture the sports greatest title, The World Cup of Mixed Martial Arts. Also that same evening the WCMMA's Heavyweight World Title will be on the line as Russian World Combat Sambo Champion Alexey Oleinik will be facing 2x FILA Grappling World Champion Kelly Anundson in the main event, it's RUSSIA vs USA. Three opposing countries challenging the United States, all in one great evening of MMA action.
