I haven’t kept up with NXT so I’m clueless on storylines.

Priest beats Gargano to retain. Entertaining match.

Kushida tapped out Velveteen and then attacked him after the match twice. Hopefully Kushida really broke that pervs arm.

Escobar retains over Swerve. Good match overall.

The new “Capital Wrestling Center” is being used. They have a few “fans” at ringside but they are in plexiglass cubes covered with fencing. Really loud when they bang on the glass and it hits the fencing.

Slow down with the arena entrances. This isn’t WrestleMania.

Nxt used to be AAA shows every takeover card, until they switched their entire focus onto trying to beat AEW and now their product is a shell of what it was.

I thought since it was a Takeover it would be better.

Wow! Great “Strong “ main event! One of the best I’ve seen this year! Highest praise from me.

no such thing as a bad Takeover show. Some are better than others, but none are a waste of your time.

Ember Moon has never done anything for me. No interest in seeing her back.

She has the best finish and is better than most of the current roster as one of the only females who actually worked the indies for years. I'm glad shes back

She was actually released? Was it part of normal cuts or another reason?

I don’t think she ever was released, she had a pretty serious neck injury that was career threatening if I remember correctly. I could be wrong.

You're right. She was never released, just been off TV resting her injury

Achilles. I trained with her and her husband quite a few times while she was hurt. She is tough as hell. They literally had to force her not to workout sometimes because she was in a boot.

I'm green but I've been able to work out and train with quite a few current roster folks and she impresses me the most so far. I liked her work outs because she figured out pretty quick I was an amatuer wrestler with MMA experience so she didn't treat me with kid gloves just because I was green like alot of them do. She got up in my shit if I fucked up but would be super encouraging and patient with some the other newbs that clearly weren't coming from a background that would be used to that sort of treatment.

She ended up using me as security for a seminar later. My job was to make sure everyone there was there to workout and not fan boy Ember Moon. One guy drove 8 hours only to puke all over himself after 50 jumping jacks and 50 air squats. I had to drag his lifeless corpse, covered in nasty, outside where he eventually got up and drove the longest 8 hours of his life back home.

Have only seen the main event so far. Thought Kross would come out, because yesterday he released a sneak peek of a video (doc/mockumentary?) chronicling his shoulder recovery he has coming out that appears to be titled "43 days," which is the exact number of days between last night's Takeover and the one before. Anyway I really enjoyed the match. Not a big highspot match, more of a hard-hitting and technical affair, as long O'Reilly matches tend to be, with both guys reportedly a bit damaged as a result.

After the match it was noted O’Reilly has several broken teeth and Balor is being evaluated for a possible broken jaw. -WWE

Watched the main event again, liked it even more the 2nd time. More like a "strong style" match, closer to the stuff you would see in All Japan in it's 90's heyday. It also resembled a 'Pancrase" match, cool that both guys were wearing kick pads , and all the action took place in the ring. Not surprised both guys got hurt, they were working pretty stiff.

I was watching like "Wow, these guys are incredible strikers to do this without seriously hurting each other." Too bad they did come out with some considerable damage, but an awe-inspiring performance nonetheless, and what ridiculous morons using it as a reason to downgrade the match (referring to fans, you know they just want to be negative, it's understandable from the standpoint of wrestlers and management).

I thought the blood from Balor's mouth was fake with how it looked so thick and red and not visible until right after the finish, but perhaps I'm wrong.

I thought it was really red too and also the ref never put on gloves.

Just finished watching takeover. What a great show. That main event was ridiculously awesome.
