my one complaint would be that they need to raise the hard camera up about 3-4 feet.

I don't see their guys as being better than NXT; definitely not AEW.

Oh, not even close to either. But they shouldn’t try to be. Be your own niche that some people will be attracted to.

I think they did an awesome job of making a fun oldschool rasslin show. Hits a perfect niche market and did a good job of differentiating itself from the MLW,ROH,TNA level promotions since it only has a couple of comparable talents and a bunch of unknowns.

I also think the uniqueness of it could make it a cool stop over for free agents between going to bigger promotions too.  How does a hardcore fan, which most wrestlers are, not want footage of themselves wrestling on the old 1980s NWA ring? They did such an awesome job of recreating it you could put a 80s VHS filter on it and feel like your watching an old episode.

and then that fucking intro music!! Nightmare on Elm Street 3 radness. 40 - 55 year old market checkmate!

enjoyed it a lot.

Creative ways to have stars beat jobbers and get pop out of it like with James Storm.

Agree with some of the complaints like the camera being too low.

I don't really care if they have the best/worst talent or not. Just be authentic, competent and book good angles, I'll watch.

Nick Aldis is one of the best pure promos in the business today.

Watching the new episode....they’ve got a jobber who looks like Dick Murdoch!

And a couple ex-WWE guys making their debut.

Also like they’re NOT using the same guys that appear on multiple other indy shows.

Love it.

Agreed camera is too low, but that's how it was in the 80s studio shows. They need a big huge roid monster on the roster also.

I think it’s a little early for them to do a PPV.

Agree.   Not everyone has to do PPV

They gotta make money somehow.

Not that the ppv necessarily will, but all they seem to be doing is adding that event to the December tv taping schedule, why not collect a few bucks on iPPV, YouTube show doesn't make money as-is, it's a pilot for a tv outlet to pick it up.

Maybe this iPPV timing was originally planned, maybe they pulled the trigger early due to the buzz.

Price it like GCW does on FITE and I plan to show my support, fun night with UFC main card following it.

Smart on them, even if it's a 250 seat sellout.

I've never owned a wrestling company and wont act as if I'm some sort of an expert on monetizing and making wrestling companies profitable,  but I'd say that any growth this company is going to have is gonna be a long term play and is going to have to be scaled slowly and carefully.

It's a little bit niche, but if they manage their costs carefully and not overextend themselves, they could have a chance at sticking around.   Its a solid idea and concept but longterm growth should be the objective.   Wrestling is beginning to pick up steam again which is good in some ways, but the national scene is getting a little crowded on TV, as well, so sticking to YouTube might not be a bad strategy for the time being until a real investor station that has some loyalty to the product comes along.

TBS oughta throw Powerr on just because, not even Sat night 6:05 necessarily, if that conflicts with Braves or whatever, could put at ole Sat AM Power Hour slot.

WGN would be another place that to an outsider seems suited for it.

I don't keep up with all these tv/major corporation mergers/acquisitions, but I seem to recall Sinclair made a play for WGN , not sure what else is similar, on all orost basic packages.

Hopefully something like that would work, make it profitable enough to stay afloat.

Happiest I've been with rasslin in a long time.

NWA is only behind AEW in my weekly rasslin habits.

NJPW monthly and NXT Takeovers on Hulu , NXT weekly if I get around to it.

WWE hasn't run me off of their monthly ppvs yet, but they may.

NWA reboot is like comfort food.

NWA at 605 on Saturdays I would think would get better ratings than another Big Bang Theory rerun. That’s where it should be, he supposedly had talked to them a while back.  I figure it’s a passion project, he’s spending serious Cherub Rock money, the commercial spots are place holders for real commercials so he can show the people he talked to what he can do.

its basically NWA Hollywood/Championship wrestling from Hollywood who he used before he got this show and is where Josephus and the Librarian came from. But it’s usually horrible public access wrestling. He took that and put the CAW 80s NWA filter on it and added some better talent.  It’s perfect for an hour on TBS and can have AEW guys stop by once in a while for a crossover.

I love horrible wrestling shows from dinky little venues. Reminds me of all the old wrestling mags I read as a kid. Never got to see anything but WWF on TV because we didn’t have cable in the ‘70s.

Yeah I love finding old stuff in YouTube like that. They had all of Ole’s Anderson’s Georgia Championship Wrestling up there for a while and a bunch of the Blanchard family stuff from New Mexico. It’s horrible...but fun to watch.
