both AEW and NXT hoping and praying that the Astros finish off the World Series on Tuesday night and there is no game 7 on Wednesday.

I've heard that about women in the demo, that's crazy.  Anyone have thoughts as to why this is?

most predictions I saw for this past Friday's Smackdown was around 1.5 million.

When I first saw that number on twitter today, I forgot for a second they had been on FS1. ha

I unsubbed a while back because I don’t watch WWE PPVs but I still miss having the library available every now and then. I might resub again around Royal Rumble.

AEW did an average of 759,000 viewers, down 21 percent from last week. In the 18-49 demo, the show finished sixth overall on cable with a 0.33 rating, down 27 percent from the previous week, which aired against game one of the World Series.

NXT wasn't down quite as much in terms of either audience or the key demo. NXT averaged 580,000 viewers, which was down 14 percent from last week. In the 18-49 demo, the show did a 0.18, down 17 percent.

Can throw these numbers out going up against game 7 of the World Series. Both will be higher next week.

It'll be interesting to see what kind of rebound they get next week.

SmackDown averaged 2.543 million viewers, a significant increase from the 888,000 viewers the week prior drew when it aired live on FS1. That number is higher than SmackDown's last show on FOX back on October 18, which averaged 2.441 million viewers across its two hours.

An interesting thing from last NXT vs AEW Wednesday, The Kabuki Warriors vs Nox and Kai was the closest NXT has come to beating AEW in a segment head to head. They were against Omega and the Bucks as well.

AEW was about what I was expecting, NXT rebounded way more than I was expecting. Them invading SD and RAW gave them a way bigger boost than I was expecting. I would have guessed around 700k for NXT.

They just need to keep sending main roster talent down to Florida to keep those ratings going. Its not sustainable long term but maybe it’ll get the NXT guys over to the regular WWE audience.

Hopefully this’ll cause AEW to step it up too. Havent seen this week’s show but they could definitely be doing a better job.

It’s a shame Punk doesn’t seem likely to wrestle for AEW. That would really shake things up.

Interesting... I hope someone besides HHH is paying attention. I remember when the TNA Knockouts would get the highest rated segments, but would still get paid like shit.

kind of odd that aew dipped so much during last week’s ppv go home show but rebounded this week for the post ppv show. can only guess the kenny/moxley debate helped get people talking about aew

NXT came close to beating AEW last week but AEW Dynamite opened the gap again this week with 957,000 viewers. That is up 16 percent from last week’s number and indicates that there was an interest in the product from fans who wanted to see the fallout from the Full Gear pay-per-view.

This week’s NXT on USA drew 750,000 viewers. That is an eight percent from last week’s show, which featured main roster stars AJ Styles, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson.

As is usually the case every week, AEW beat out NXT in every demographic except for viewers over 50 but AEW is drawing in the coveted young viewers and they drew a strong 0.55 rating among males 18-49.

As for your comment above evh, weren't there sporting events going on?  I think so, and if not, the World Series would've just ended so maybe sports burn out?

Last week I remember them both having some major sporting events to compete with so a dip was expected tbh. This week's numbers are very promising.
