They should throw a bunch of money at Mike Tenay to get him out of retirement. Get the old wcw broadcast team back together(minus Heenan, RIP).

Also on a completely unrelated note, I watched a Netflix documentary last night, jack of all trades, that had Don West in it. God damn he was a horrible commentator and knew less about wrestling than I know about Olympic bobsledding, which isn't much at all.

It was actually rather depressing to be honest. About a middle aged man whose dad left him when he was 13. His dad was a well known card collector in Canada, had a card store back in the day. The documentary basically started with the guy taking his old baseball cards to a card collecting auction just to find out they weren't worth shit. He then meets up with Jose Canseco and a bunch of executives in the card industry and a guy with over 2,000 Jose Canseco cards. Then he meets up with his dad after 20+ years and his dad is basically a piece of shit who abandoned his family, started a new family but abandoned them as well.

Only prospective name I've heard of being trademarked by them.

Apparently, he's gonna be a producer (among other things), but not on the commentary team.

That's a shame because that Marquez guy is terrible and schiavone/jr would be wonderful

Hmm.. Conrad on the latest Road To show. Is that his first appearance beyond the initial press conference? Curious to see how this develops.

I can't recall seeing Conrad since the Vegas press conference, but I don't watch every single youtube show so I could have missed one.

Conrad is honestly in a pretty powerful position. Its Meltzer-esque. He's got regular access to top guys in both promotions with decades of experience under their belts. All that wisdom, knowledge, trust, and access he is being spoonfed on a daily basis.

Agree with the bear.

I'd go as far as to say, Conrad has his own fans by now.

If he announced a podcast without a star from the past present, just a Conrad on the wrestling news of the day, take calls, a brief guest here and there , co-host/producer/sidekick, it would do surprisingly well. If he followed the former Ross Report format, the best parts, kept it free/patreon, there would be an audience.

Also, even though he's only 39 or 40, I reckon he has an audience that skews slightly to solidly older than his age and that he , not kidding, can bring eyeballs to AEW, by promoting it to his followers , lapsed WCW/NWA fans, Midatlantic/ Wrestlecade legends events regulars, the older set of Starrcast's target audience.

Cornette fans if ya will .
