Listening to the Lapsed Fan podcast - 1997 Starrcade episode and it got me thinking that the finish of Hogan/Sting has to be one of the worst booked finishes to a major program ever. That absolute shits and really killed a lot of their momentum.

Austin turning heel is another one.

what are some you consider to be the worst booking decisions by a wresting company?

Hulk Hogans first match in WCW beating freaking Ric Flair for the title.   That was after Flair beat Big Van Vader.   That was ridiculous

I’ve never really looked at the Invasion angle as being crap because of the booking though. It sucked because no WCW stars wanted to leave their chunky contracts and come back to work. Yes the booking went good but I remember watching that week to week and it really didn’t feel like an invasion anyway.

Should have had Jericho end Goldbergs streak and elevate him to the main event.

Philanderer - RVD beating AJ for the title on his first night in TNA.

I strongly considered posting this, maybe even would have eventually lol, just mind boggling, and on free TV.

And they didn't even do a feud between RVD and Angle, I don't think. That was also mind-boggling. Who knows if the reported past issues in WWE with RVD kicking Angle too hard (especially his penchant for bloodying Kurt's mouth) had something to do with it. IIRC Kurt's wife reportedly made a stink about it more than him, and then in TNA she actually worked there.

I'll also toss in as a terrible booking decision: The NWO destroying the babyfaces for such a long consecutive period that the fans gave up on them getting their comeuppance.

As a Texan, and one in attendance that night, you can not convince me Austin turned.  Vince turned face and I'll hear nothing more of it.  :-)
