UnderGround Forums Boxing: Lomachenko Vs Lopez 10/18/2020

Boxing fanboys regard Loma as the #1 Pound 4 pound boxer in the world right now.

I've never gotten into the Loma Hypetrain.

He does have an impressive amatuer record and pro record. The only problem I have w/his pro record is: Who has he boxed?

I feel Lopez is his first "test" but then again, Who has Lopez beaten? he's undefeated, but i boxing records are not what they seem. It's easy to be 10-0 in boxing when the vast majority of the boxers are journeymen.

Change my mind.

In a couple hours all those questions will be answered. Loma does have the multiple weight wins though. Should be a great scrap. Watched all the past fights on ESPN 207 today and even the gf is hyped for this fight.

The 2nd to last bout is in 10th and final round, there's 1 more before the main.

The undercard just finshed, so the main card is about to start now, 3 fights on the card.

Main Card

Vasyl Lomachenko vs. Teofimo Lopez – 12 rounds, lightweight

Alex Saucedo vs. Arnold Barboza Jr – 10 rounds, junior welterweight title

Edgar Berlanga vs. Lanell Bellows – 8 rounds, super middleweight

Does anybody happen to know where I might stream such a wonderful fight..... as crackstreams has apparently been shutdown as of a half hour ago, following a full year of amazing reliability.

PM's welcome.

next up is Berlanga, I've never hard of him, but he is 14-0 w/ 14 KOs, so the announcers are hyping him up as an up and coming guy..

Oh damn, up next is Berlanga. He is 14-0 with 14 KOs, all in round 1!

He's never been past round 1.

I thought Jorge linares was a good first test .
His “warm up” fights were reasonable tests also:

Gary Russell jr
nicholas Walters

Miguel marriaga

Guillermo rigondeaux

young up and coming fighters can win belts reasonably fast these days , maby 10/15 fights in , loma won the wbo featherweight title on his 3rd fight and 3 weight world champion by 12 fights in.

sounds good enough to get on the hype train

2 time Olympic gold medal champion

and a mental amateur rec of 396 -1 as well

Looks like he's a great prospect.  Only 23 years old.  Insane power.

IDk, the opponent was i think 25-4 and had never been stopped before.

But boxing is weird. a lot of padded records..

We all posted within one minute of each other but I don't think anyone mentioned it.

Berlanga was cracking in that fight. He is huge for that weight too.
