Marvel's What If...?

Marvel debuted the first footage for its animated Disney+ series What If...? to the D23 Expo crowd. Kevin Feige, on stage for the presentation, confirmed that "almost the entire cast" of the MCU will be lending their voices to the animated show.

The footage included the first lines from Jeffrey Wright's The Watcher, as will as snippets of the storylines, including Bucky/Winter Soldier facing off against a creepy zombie, Peggy Carter getting the super-soldier serum, with Steve Rogers taking on a more bulky, Mark I Iron Man suit.

Peggy Carter herself, Hayley Atwell, appeared on stage following the trailer.

Marvel's Loki

While Tom Hiddleston couldn't be on hand for D23, he appeared to the D23 Expo crowd via a video message expressing his thanks for continuing to play the beloved MCU character.

Spoilers for Avengers: Endgame follow: Loki's lead writer and director also appeared on stage to discuss how the show will follow Loki following the events of Avengers: Endgame, seeing where he went with the Tesseract, whether he'll ever make a friend, and whether "the sun will shine" on Loki again — aka if redemption is ever in his future.

Marvel's Falcon and the Winter Soldier

Following the confirmation at San Diego Comic-Con that Daniel Bruhl is returning as Baron Zemo, Marvel and Disney confirmed that Emily VanCamp is set to return as Sharon Carter, the character she first appeared as in Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

Additionally, a new character to the MCU - John Walker - will be played by Wyatt Russell in the series.

WandaVision

Though WandaVision hasn't started shooting yet, Marvel brought a tone piece to the D23 Expo hall, showing off shots from Avengers: Infinity War intercut with The Dick van Dyke Show.

The series is intended to be "half classic sitcom, half full MCU spectacular," and the series is set to begin shooting shortly. Ahead of filming, several new WandaVision cast members were announced— Kat Dennings will return as her Thor character Darcy Lewis, Randall Park will be returning as Jimmy Woo, and Kathryn Hahn plays a "Nosey Neighbor"

Star Wars: The Clone Wars

Star Wars: The Clone Wars, previously confirmed for a return to Disney+, has been confirmed for a February 2020 debut on the streaming service. Kathleen Kennedy confirmed the return window on stage at Disney's D23 Expo, but did not show new footage.

Rogue One Series

As previously announced, Disney+ will be home to a new series based on the Rogue One characters Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) and K2S0 (Alan Tudyk). The two stars appeared on stage, discussing in vague terms their spy series, which is currently in preproduction and scheduled to shoot next year.

Despite Luna and Tudyk wanting to reveal it, Kathleen Kennedy would not let them unveil the title.

The Mandalorian

Disney brought out Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni to discuss the process of making the upcoming Star Wars series The Mandalorian for Disney+. With a planned launch on November 12, Favreau brought out the cast of Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Carl Weathers, Giancarlo Esposito and Taika Waititi.

Waititi confirmed he's playing IG-11, while some new photos showed someone frozen in Carbonite and fight scenes. A trailer for The Mandalorian was also shown to the crowd and simultaneously released online.

Obi-Wan Kenobi Disney+ Series

After rumors and reported deals, Ewan McGregor appeared on stage to confirm he will be reprising his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi in an upcoming Disney+ series.

According to Kathleen Kennedy, all the scripts have been written for the series, and it will begin filming in 2020. No other plot or release details were confirmed, however.
