HBO's upcoming adaptation of Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons' popular comic Watchmen officially has a release date.
The official Watchmen Twitter revealed the show's release date as October 20 alongside a short video of a ticking clock. The hands of the clock read, "Everything Begins."
Written by Moore and illustrated by Gibbons, Watchmen was published between 1986 and 1987. The maxiseries is one of the most popular comic series ever. Although Moore has always made clear he doesn't like adaptations of his work, Watchmen was brought to the big-screen by director Zack Snyder, who later went on to serve as an architect for the early installments of the DC Extended Universe. Rather than adapting the original book, the TV series will explore the aftermath of the events depicted in it and features older versions of many key characters.
Developed by Damon Lindelof, HBO's Watchmen stars Jeremy Irons, Regina King, Don Johnson, Tim Blake Nelson, Louis Gossett Jr., Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Tom Mison, James Wolk, Adelaide Clemens, Andrew Howard, Frances Fisher, Jacob Ming-Trent, Sara Vickers, Dylan Schombing, Lily Rose Smith and Adelynn Spoon. The series will premiere October 20.

Will wait a couple of years to watch this I think.

If it the reviews are still good after season 2 then I’ll check it out.
