Hot on the heels of the news that Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has taken on more responsibilities with the company as Marvel's new chief creative officer, it appears another Marvel veteran could soon be on his way out.
According to Variety, Jeph Loeb, who's served as the head of Marvel Television since 2010, is expected to vacate the position in the coming weeks and "is in the market for an overall deal with a new company."
In September, it was reported that Marvel Television was being absorbed by Marvel Studios. This, coupled with Feige's recent promotion, meant Loeb and many other creatives who previously reported to Marvel Entertainment CEO Ike Perlmutter would now report to Feige directly.
For his part, Feige will continue to report to Walt Disney Co-Chairman and Chief Creative Officer Alan Horn and Co-Chairman Alan Bergman. Meanwhile, Dan Buckley will continue to serve as President of Marvel TV under Perlmutter for publishing operations, sales, creative services, games, licensing and events, while also reporting to Feige in a creative and editorial capacity. Additionally, Joe Quesada, who has served as Marvel CCO since 2010, will stay on board as a creative lead and report directly to Buckley.
Under Loeb, Marvel Television branched out from its usual animation programming in 2013 with the launch of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. before entering a partnership with Netflix to create a line of live-action original series, all of which have since been canceled.

Not sure how to feel about this. Was not an Agents of Shield fan. Liked some of the Netflix stuff, other parts not so much. But all of the bad could easily have been attributed to ike perlmutter.
