I did the same. I didn't know this 30 for 30 was happening. I watched it today and it was a nice trip down memory lane. I remember when both guys hit the scene. I always thought that when Tito was champ, Chuck protected him. They mentioned this durring the show.

 

Watching Chuck getting smashed over and over again was pretty sad. The last one was waa just a really bad fight to make. Chuck looked so slow. Tito has always been a beast on the ground. But father time gave him a gift that night. I've never disliked Tito but he acted a fool after winning. I know it was a big deal to him and all, but I said to myself, "Settle down man, you only beat a shadow of a former great fighter."

There are much worse videos of her that those kids could see. Not defending Tito, but when you have kids with a pornstar I’m not sure normal boundaries apply.

I watched it last night. Honestly didn’t have high expectations for some reason. But I was way wrong and thought it was one of the best 30 for 30s. And I don’t think it made Tito look bad. Tito made Tito look bad, but he also looked good in spots. Forgot how good andnovel he was at the time.

Not really. She has no contact with them and moved to Hawaii. Hasn’t even tried to see or talk to those kids in years. 
 

I hear what you’re saying though. 

I'm pretty stoked to watch it.   They are two very important figures in the sport's history and had large roles of bringing it from the "cagefighting" era into the modern MMA era.  Tito in his prime was a beast, and combined with his personality and trash talk, had a big role in carrying the sport through the dark ages.  Chuck on the other hand was beginning to find his game, was starting to KO people on highlight fashion,  and the two seemed to be on a collision course,  but the fight happened way later than expected. 

 

Interesting and important time in history.

You can't take away all the pioneering he did back in the dark days of the sport and company.

Absolutely.  And his feuds with Dana were more entertaining than the fights.  I seriously would rather have watched them box and see the Red Goof get stiffed than to see 100 UFC's.  Dana's image is one of a take no nonsense tuff guy ex-fighter from Boston, but Tito dressed him down, where as other fighters were afraid of him, and he was the only fighter ever to really stick up to him and expose him as a loser with rich friends and lots of steroids.

I don't know what tapology is...maybe it's a site that people who joined the UG earlier this month frequent. 

The official record-keeper of the sport of MMA, however, has me listed at 2-1. Three more of my fights (two in MMA, one in boxing) were unregulated and don't appear on records. I've trained BJJ since summer of 1999, began competing in 2001 and still do, and I fought two times a year from 2010-2013. As a coach I've trained multiple amateurs to titles and several grapplers to local BJJ tournament wins and belts and medals.

I wasn't very good as a fighter, but that's what I've done. I love martial arts and fighting, have devoted much of the past 20 years to them, and hope to log in another 20 at least. 

As a journalist I've covered boxing and MMA for a living since 2005. Feel free to list any fight journalists with more years writing and training/competing experience than me. One thing I take pride in is hanging around for awhile, and taking my lumps. 

Lmao another journalist without a degree whos trying to convince people hes actually a real journalist. I love it. Why dont you write all that down in one big speech and fire it off to the patients at Bellevue, I'm sure they will believe your fantasty perspective of your own life.

 

Honestly, I dont know whats more embarrassing in your post, your constant self needling for attention in terms of your proffesion or the fact that you actually question the fact that there is other journalists who's worked in the sport longer than you, therefor giving yourself the status of a "megastar".

 

Dave Meltzer covered it longer and that's just one guy, next time you wanna come off as some pseudo intelligent writer you might wanna factcheck whos actually covering the sport.
