Are we just gonna stay in this cycle forever? Does covid just kinda go away after X amount of shutdowns? one misdemeanor if you're out in public without a mask. They'll enforce it too but if you happen to be 'protesting' they cops are told to stand down.

There won't be anything to open up soon. I am all for the 1A but is there any research done on how the protests impacted the spread of the virus? Crazy how you can go to jail for opening up your business to not lose your livelihood and provide for your family but the mass protests were encouraged. At this point I say fuck it and just let people do their thing. If the protests were hard to stop due to sheer numbers than businesses should open up and let the chips fall where they may.

Michigan too, although my Gym has remained open regardless.  I'm grateful.  Lots of small name gyms are saying fuck it.  The big brand names though have stayed closed

Plenty  of research.  Unfortunately contact tracers were told they couldn't ask if anyone had participated in the protests.  Then after the data shows zero corellation, they say the protests didn't spread the virus.

The left has become the party of anti-science and pro social justice.  The evangelical progressives have taken over the party and anyone sane should do their part to make sure the Democrats never see power again.  I'm voting straigh R in every slot for 2020.  And I'm a registered Democrat.

Yup I posted this earlier in the other thread.

It's ridiculous at this point Doucey should of shutdown the riots because we are both seeing the results of that!

I straight-ticket vote Republican every time. I’m a clear cut rightist. But I was with my Democrat governor at the beginning of all this

But now she’s lost her mind and she’s playing politics. She doesn’t want to open the state because she doesn’t want Trump to have a rally here. But riots and protests are ok. She’s ok with personally attending BLM protests but I can’t go to my gym... even though I am cause my gym’s owner is a savage

Agreed, Covid is here to stay until a vaccine comes, and who knows how long that is, people need to assess their risk and situation and decide how to proceed, same with gyms and other stores, the government shouldn't be in control of that.

You guys might be ignorant of the absolute failure to control the virus in the U.S. -- even when the data is clear --  but it will be unavoidable soon. A two month delay in response, CDC contaminating their own labs and sending out faulty kits, no coherent unified response, maverick governors playing around with reality -- it's terrible.

There are shills making a living commenting on this as "pandemic porn", when it's really not being covered as it should.

This is a low-death, high-spread virus. The numbers from the U.S. compared to larger counter-parts like the EU are fucking pathetic. We're really lucky the death rate is low, because America completely dropped the ball on this.

They are always picking on bars.  Like 90% of people have nothing better to do than go to a bar.

So...it’s the flu?  You lunatics have all lost your minds over a “low death” flu?

Problem is the state can't fuck you in the ass with fines, permits, licensing, inspections, and a million other ways by "protesting". On the other hand the government would have no problem throttling business owners

Its really a matter of if you cared about your fellow man and isolated properly as well as being safe we would of been done with this or pretty darn close.

But people are all about muh freedoms and laziness and try to make this out to be something its not to justify their selfishness.

Whatever we will live with this virus and its consequences a lot longer than we should
