For those who think Gretchen Whitmer isn't a good choice is there anyone you think would be a good choice?

Not really. It could be Donald Trump junior, who I like, but that doesn't change the fact that Biden is not fit to run this country.

That's what I figured. No matter who Biden picks the OG's collective response will be:

"Seriously, what the fuck are they thinking?!?"

I will not be supporting any DNC candidate myself. But I used to be a democrat. I like to think that I would've been level headed enough to not just blindly throw my vote at him just because he's on my team, but who knows

It would be an attempt to win Michigan. Which he knows he has to in order to win. But not sure she’s the way to go.

Hear me out. What if this is their plan?  They know Trump is going to win so they are throwing it away. They will continue to whine and make things difficult for 4 more years making his presidency look weak and ineffective. Then in 2024 we see the resurgence of Hilary. It will be easier for them to win if it isn't against an incumbent.

Pence may be too conservative to pick up the swing states and it will be interesting to see what other GOP names are in the field in 2024.

Rumor has it Pompeo is putting things in place for a 2024 run.

2024 will be Ted Cruz with Dan Crenshaw or Candace Owens as VP. ;-)

I actually think Mark Cuban will throw a wrench in everyone’s plans sooner or later. People have realized we need a business person in the Oval Office. He can take a lot of votes away from both parties.

Oh god please do this.

This is the most out of touch, boneheaded-establishment move possible.

As the country comes out of lockdown, choose the face of abusive measures that will be more and more universally reviled as time goes on as your running mate.

A fairly popular governor of a state that he has to win, in a region he has to win? Doesn't sound like a crazy idea.

I doubt she will do it, though.

This, except for the doubt she'd do it part. He needs Michigan. He needs two neighboring states as well. Every little bit helps. Abrams nets him nothing. Harris nets him nothing. Reasonably attractive female from a battle ground state, that'd be the first smart move Biden's made on the campaign.

The dems were successful in their attempt to discredit Tulsi with the base. I've spoke to people tgat said she was a kook, and pro Russia. Don't think she's a real democrat, but couldn't say why.

Alternate thread title “Dems hand Trump 4 more years”. Seriously, what the fuck are they thinking?!?

.
Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer revealed Tuesday that she has had an “opening conversation” with Joe Biden’s campaign about potentially being his running mate as vice president.

“I’ve had a conversation with some folks,” Whitmer told NBC’s “3rd Hour of Today.” "But the fact of the matter is all of my energy is going into helping my state.

“It was just an opening conversation, and it’s not something that I would call a professional, formalized vetting. I am making a little bit of time to stay connected to the campaign,” Whitmer added, while emphasizing her main priority was leading her state through the coronavirus pandemic.

The first-term governor is among a handful of women Biden has confirmed are on his shortlist for potential running mates.

“Gov. Whitmer is an outstanding governor. She is one of the most talented people in the country in my view,” Biden said in early April as the former vice president introduced the governor on the second edition of his newly launched podcast series. “She also is a supporter. She was also a co-chair of my campaign. She’s a good friend, but she has been laser-focused, laser-focused on delivering for her state.”

Whitmer has gained notoriety recently due to her extremely strict coronavirus lockdown measures, which have prompted dozens of protests across the state.

Not a chance. The ignorant slut, Harris, has already been selecte by Soros.

he'll definitely lose some POC votes. i think you'll see a number of people who say the DNC is too white.

They've been talking for months. She's said a bunch of times she's not interested, but I'd take that with a grain of salt since they're still talking.

He won't lose the votes to Trump, but it could affect turn out of minorities. That said, the minority candidates will hurt badly in other demographics.

I think Abrams loses him a shitload of votes.  No reasonable person would vote for an 80 year old man with her on deck.  Harris could be destroyed in a debate by Pence quoting Tulsi and asking for a response.

Kyle Kulinski has been throwing her name out there for awhile as a probable pick.

Also says Biden’s promise to pick a black female Supreme Court justice was specifically made to justify not picking a minority female VP. He’s got some really great insight for a lot of OG’ers if they can stand to listen to a reasonable liberal.

LOL, she's quite popular in MI despite criticicisms from Trump and the whack ass protesters.  Not sure how Fox News is covering this so I'm sure you all have different impressions.

Trump lied about our state again and threatened to "cut funding" because Michigan sent absentee ballots out already, even though they only sent applications.

Dude needs to keep our name out his mouth.
