Cuckoldberry Finn -
So, this morning I get a text from my base manager telling me that the register was $50 short. We cashed out the register and left like $150 in there. A customer came in with a $100 dollar bill and she noticed that there was a $50 dollar bill missing.
So, we have this chick working in the office and I could have terminated her outright but alas I did not. unbeknowst to her our competition has a camera that encompasses our register area, and on ultra high definition it is clear as day that she removed $50 dollars from the register. In lieu of instant termination she is working right now as we wait for the police to come and review the footage, we will have her arrested in the lobby of the terminal.
I will be busy dealing with this for the next hours but I will update once the police have made their move.
Why not ask her outright?
If she broke the law, why not find out what why she stole from you and potentially hurt her future.
sure, I get how some people in this world have a view point and that's that. One strike. You know her better than any of us though.
lastly, if it was my employee I wouldn't have called the cops. I would have found out why she felt the need to take it first. Sounds like you're a shoot first type of guy. Just some random thoughts OP
