Apparently some people really like it and some can't stand it. I'm in the later camp - can't bear the stuff!

Which side are you on?

Absolutely love it as I grew up eating it in the majority of the dishes that my Mom made/still makes.

I remember meeting a friend in my 20's, telling me that his wife absolutely hated cilantro.

I love cilantro so much, that I couldn't fathom how someone couldn't like it.

Then I found out cilantro actually is supposed to taste like soap to certain people.

It's pretty good. I don't want my street tacos overloaded with it but a good pinch is fine. I liked it cooked down more than raw

Apparently it's a genetic thing, it just tastes terrible to some of us.

People who don’t like cilantro have a birth defect. They should be treated kindly.

Tastes like fucking soap.

I can handle it though if it's cooked and mixed in with lots of other shit.

For me, it has to be cooked. In live in the third world, otherwise known as Florida, and the stuff has crept into every establishment around including pizza places.

Must have on street tacos. If I see a cook putting that shit raw on my eggs, I tell them to remake it. It can liven a dish or make it taste like the Rapinoe's bath water, fishy and stale.

This. It's one of those genetic things where it tastes good to most people, but it tastes terrible to a small subset of people

I like it.  I have a friend that hates it and uses parsley in it's place.

I never realized cilantro and coriander were the same thing.

I use coriander powder for Indian dishes.  That is made by grinding the seeds.

I have no idea what the leaves taste like.  I've eaten them, but it doesn't have any distinctive taste I can recall. I would probably recognize it if I just ate the leaves.

I feel bad for the @10%'ers that can't love it, because it's awesome in pico

Much different. This is a genetic predisposition where it tastes like dish soap to 5-15% of the population.
