Life is so much better lol. I realized many of the things that were pissing me off were all online and rarely in the real world. I recommend it to anyone who is agitated all the time about politics and other bullshit.

I did the same. Much better for me too. Fuck all that noise. News is a profit machine intended to get people freaking out. Facebook is mostly curated versions of peoples lives that’s misleading and unhealthy.

I need to study for some certifications, and I'm kind of looking forward to having to unplug to study

I tried to get rid of Facebook but I had to many logins that I had tied to it for it to be a problem. So what I ended up doing was just unfriending everyone and unliking everything. Now it’s just a blank page and I can still use it for logins.

I got rid of my FB when I started seeing a new lady. Didn't want that post history to come back and bite me in the ass lol

Same. Don't regret it.

Yes Dreville, but you can choose to click the thread or not, on Facebook you have to scroll through.

Maybe you can be like Orcus and post 30 times a day for the rest of your life all while not changing even one mind lol.

Life is much better without Facebook.

I just delete people that post dumb shit, the rest of my feed is all bike porn and boxer (dog) related stuff.

It’s great! It’s like 96% of what I like.

It’s really no different than coming on here and checking out threads you want. Just customize your FB feed and it’s not nearly as dumb as people make it out to be.

Yeah a lot of people can't seem to grasp that Facebook is what you make it.

Plus you can only change things when it’s time to vote. So why bother watching the news and getting irate over this and that every day. Plus most people just want to watch shit for confirmation bias and hear people that agree with their already formed opinions.

What pissed me off was close friends and family members posting libtard shit over and over. I dont want to unfollow family so I chose to just back out completely.

I never had a Facebook account. Wife had one though. Pure drama and BS. I did have an Instagram for about 6 months and tried out the snapchat thing.

We both got rid of social media altogether and life is better. No more drama over pointless garbage

I also cut the cord in 2008. The only stuff I watch is programs I seek out. No television programming me on what to think feel.

Left facebook almost 4.5 years ago.

The time i get angriest on any given day is watching Canadian news at 6 oclock.

Every story is...trump is bad...lgbqt something...some rando white on the bus said "hindu"... Some murderous clown is getting way too light of a sentence...killer whales...indigenous rights...rinse repeat.

I give the news a break for a while hoping it will improve but everytime i come back, its gone further off the rails into rainbow commie land.

I don't recall ever getting irate over the news. I just can't imagine being intentionally ignorant of the world around us.

Facebook marketplace has too many good deals and I sell stuff on there or I would probably get rid of it as well.

This site has devolved into mostly politics as well though although not as bad as FB.

You'd be even better off unplugging the internet altogether and spending your free time away from screens.
