Dear Lebron and the entirety of the NBA,
We are Americans, and for the most part, we are good people.
Black, White, Hispanic we work hard for our families, trying to create a better future for our children and the human race.
After work and eating dinner with our kids or perhaps on the weekends we occasionally like to to turn on the TV and watch our favorite team play sports. It’s in our culture, in our DNA.
For decades we’ve cheered you on, the greats of the sport, the Michael Jordans, the Magic Johnsons, Larry Byrds and Kobe Bryants.
We Laughed with you and cried with you. We loved you.
We shared a bond of humanity and the eternal struggle for greatness.
But things changed.
You have let the actions of a literal handful of people turn you against us. You call us racist. You call us oppressors, you are quiet as our culture is destroyed and our cities burn.
You act like you hate us.
You are quiet for countless murders and crimes against good people but support the destruction of America because of a few bad people and a few bad acts.
It is true there are some bad people in society among us.
They are White, they are Black, they can be any race.
They can work in any profession, politician, doctor, lawyer, police officer, waiter, garbage man, and professional basketball player.
Without facts, good judgement or using mans gift of reason you speak in wild and dangerous generalities and lash out at millions of innocent Americans inciting further violence and hatred.
It’s becoming increasingly clear you hate America and Americans.
Listen, it’s been a difficult few months.
We have learned a few things in that time.
We don’t need to watch sports.
We don’t need you.
Today we learned something else.
We don’t want you.
You don’t have to worry about boycotting the rest of the season.
We quit you and we are never coming back.
