I'm sorry no child should have to deal with something like that.

Thanks guys. We’re good. The head doctors (you obviously deal with a “team” of them) are saying this is very treatable and can even be completely cured. They’ve said time and time again how this is not like we think about cancer in a grown up. So... that’s the only thing we’re allowing in our heads right now. One day at a time. Positivity always beats negativity.

Being up here, like I said for 5 to 6 months, is going to give me a new perspective on life. These kids are amazing and my 3 y/o is going to bring a lot of joy to their lives and vice versa. I’m glad my boy is so young in some ways bc he’ll have no memory of all this crap. Yearly tests and what not but not the pain associated with the shit.

Youve got the right mindset to beat this, and you will.

If you need a pick me up after a rough day, the og shall provide dick jokes, rotties, conspiracy theories, and debates on magnets.

So sorry to hear man. Went (and still going) through the same with my Daughter (spinal tumor diagnosed at 8 weeks, she's 3 now)

I will tell you that advances in fighting child leukemia are astronomical and they've come a long way.

Will you be staying in Dallas for treatment, or going somewhere else?

Thanks bud.. That only reinforces my positivity!

Yes we are staying here. I thought about going to Houston but from everything I’ve been told the doctors here are part of a HUGE group that works together to share info for the greater good so to speak. We also have a lot of family in the area which helps. All suggestions are welcome though.

Chiming in to say Fuck You cancer. Fuck You.

My wife doing ok. Implant infected, had to be removed surgically. They will reimplant in 3 months. Until then, I will continue to call her "the cyclops". I am glad she can still laugh.

Went to the peduatric oncology floor yesterday. The floor where my daughter was treated for 2 1/2 years. She passed quietly at home, but we have stayed in touch W many that work there. Our charity was able to buy dinner for the floor, and they had a ripped street hockey net that we will GLADLY replace. Can't have shit hockey gear. Was tough to see the faces of the families going through treatment. I've been there, I know how it is. It's a level of depression and hopelessness that I didn't know existed. I think it was good for my head to have a walk through. Maybe I'll make it a regular thing.

Thanks MBN for your continued work. I read every article.

We find out in the next couple of days if my sons Leukemia is in remission. Even if it is he’s still got 4 more rounds of chemo but that’s the positive path so that’s the path we’re charging down!

Fingers crossed
