Last I heard it sounds like the middle c l a s s help was much less than the bailouts they are giving their masters.

Typical.

First they add a bunch of unrelated pork to an emergency bill, then they decide it's not enough and reject it outright for their own. People playing politics right now should not be forgotten. I know we have a super short memory and attention span, but try to remember this later...

What was the reasoning...?

They said it didn't do enough.

“The stalemate came hours after Democratic leaders warned that the bill was not to their liking because they said it did too much to bail out companies and not enough to help workers.

They know that if people come through this with minimal pain, and Trump gets the economy going again, he will sail through the election. So they will use this crisis and try to deepen it and drag it out and make it as painful as possible. In their own words, "Never let a crisis go to waste."

They probably blocked it because the bill probably sucked and wasn't good enough.  Trump needs to figure out how to help the people, not just his rich businessman buddies. He's more concerned with bailing out Boeing than helping the millions of people that are out of work.

But I do agree, something needs to happen quickly!

“Democratic senators argue that the GOP bill includes several “non-starters,” and walks back areas of agreement, like on expanding unemployment insurance, they thought they had reached with Republicans.”

It’s hilarious how y’all make the dems the villain here when they are trying to shift relief from the big companies to the citizenry.

anything to support your team over the other team though, eh?

Yeah, if true,  I'm glad the Dems blocked it. This trickle down shit doesn't work. Time to do the right thing and help people even if they aren't rich.

This appears to be a huge big business bailout and a small working people bailout. We need both. I'm a fan of divided government. I'd like to see a few more days of working at it instead of a weekend panic vote.

This will work out and I'm glad it's not just one party pushing it through. Bailouts are rarely good for the average American.
