Always (25% or more) given that many restaurants are almost entirely reliant on carry-out now.

Yes but only 10%, 15% if i really like them.  5% less than usual i guess.

$2-3 if I pick it up. $4-5 for delivery depending on how far of a drive they have. 15-20 percent based on service if I eat there in person.

This sounds about right coming from you. Isn’t socialism unneeded because we have things like charity to help out poor people? If you won’t even tip, I’d doubt you’d piss on your neighbor so stop him from catching on fire

I am now tipping 15% on pickup and 30% on eat-in and delivery, just because I know restaurant owners and waitstaff are in some deep shit right now, and I want them to survive.

A waiter will:

  1.  Take your drink order
  2.   bring your drinks
  3.  take your order for appetizers
  4.   bring the appetizers
  5.   Take your orders for the main course
  6.   Bring the main course to your table
  7.   Ask if everything is ok and will bring it back to the cook if there needs to be a correction
  8.   refills drinks
  9.   takes orders for desert
  10.   brings desert
  11.   take everyones money and credit cards to pay off the bills
A person giving you your pick up order will:
  1.   charge your credit card for the order.
I don't give them anything under normal circumstances.   But I will tip until covid blows over.

I have always tipped 20% to businesses dine in or take out, but lately I only tip if I feel they deserve a tip.  Most workers I’ve seen lately are extremely fucking rude and very ungrateful they still have jobs.

I get takeout pretty much exclusively from local places where I know the owner. I always tip on takeout now. The restaurant biz is always brutal, but now it's like Justin Gaethje.

I've heard some places do that.  However, as a customer I am paying an additional amount based off the services provided.  Under normal, non covid circumstances, running my credit card does not warrant a tip
