This isn’t an American phenomenon. It’s happening in Canada too. I come from a farming community and the isolation coupled with the unknown when it comes to whether or not you’re going to turn a profit can cause some pretty crippling mental health issues. Depression and anxiety is high amongst many farmers.

It seems weird to weaponize the crisis for political purposes, but that’s been going on for years. Whoever isn’t in power always seems to find a way to blame whoever is in power.

No doubt.

But something has caused a massive shift in the states

The policy of one political party

Trump is playing the long game. And hes winning.

Worry about your own country Pedro. I'm sure the farmers are KILLING IT there. Maybe even making 35 cents a day

Let me fix that for you:

Trump is playing the long con. And he's only winning in the minds of his most fanatical supporters.

Everyone else sees him for what he really is - a corrupt idiot woefully out of his league.

And btw, this isn't a game for these farmers, it's their livelihood. Go on, convince them to hold tight because Trump's plan will pay off ... any day now?

Is that the league where the Dems have turned full socialist with Bernie, AOC, etc..? Yeah ignore the century of total failure, it will work this time.

The league that plays on race and sex because they can't stand on their failed policies?

The league that produce Shit Francisco, Baltimore, LA, St Louis, etc...?

LOL, Sit down, boy.

Kev,

You are aware he will be re-elected, right? Are you aware of that? Because "everyone sees he is an idiot....." Is the same group of everyone that will re-elect him.

Are you aware of that at all, or is some self-defense mechanism preventing you from realizing that at this point?

This and this. I think I know one maybe two farming families who DO NOT owe creditors and have never participated in subsidies. Farming is not easy. Go try and grow a couple tomato plants in your yard and then imagine what it must be like to grow hundreds of acres of plants, beans, fruit, veggies, etc. Its not right to point a finger at the current administration without also pointing the finger at pretty much every administration we have had in the last 50 yrs.

You want to start blaming someone you should start at companies like Monsato. They hold a death grip of a large portion of agriculture here in the states. We allowed them to get this big. We allowed them to sue people. We allowed them to piss and shit on the very people we depend on to feed us. I can almost guarantee you that unless you are strictly living off the land with food that was sowed with your own hands. There is a Monsato product in your house. If you think Trump and his administration are evil, you should go do some research into Monsato's policy regarding agriculture. Then you can see what real evil and greed is. They will step over a dollar to collect a quarter you have in your hand and then turn around and sue you for them not being able to collect the dollar as well.

I’m curious op, were you this inflamed when the obama admin, fulfilling his campaign promise, caused the shutdown of coal companies and thousands of workers were put out of business and jobs, thus increasing the unemployment rate?

What about when he colluded with the Saudi’s and opec to engage in a proxy war by driving the price of oil down so low that many smaller oil companies in America were forced to shut down and thousands of workers were out of a job?

What was your position then?

BBbbbbbut OBAMA!!!

Reeeeee!!!

That secret Indonesian Muslim did so much worse! This makes Trump good!

REEEEEEEE

Yup. That’s exactly what I thought you’d do.

Carry on, retard.

You all want to make excuses for the Combover, but there is zero doubt his policies are affecting farmers

“the delinquency rates for commercial agricultural loans in both the real estate and non-real estate lending sectors are at a six-year high and … were above the historical average of 2.1%.”

No one wants to see good people suffer, but there are disruptions in every industry that reduce the need for all the people working in those industries.

It's one thing for ordinary people to express concern over these events, but it's a completely different thing when the person bringing it up is doing so, not out of any concern for the people, but rather to score some political points.

The "disruption" in this case is specifically Trump's tarfiffs.

Rather dishonest of you to make it seem like it's something beyond our control

You hope. We all hope, especially now that real damage is being done to Americans.

But you don't know.

And your sycophanty has led you to talking about the future as if it's preordained. Which I guess makes sense for a Daddy issues dude who worships a con man.

Anyway, tell you what

I'll give you 20 bucks for every farmer who committed suicides funeral you walk into and exclaim to the grieving loved ones

" Why do you hate America?! Stop thinking about the short term."

I lived in farming area after getting my first job out of college. I never seen a poor farmer, but I did hear them bitch about little money they made that year...as they get into their $60k truck to drive to their big ass house so they can pick up the family to go on a vacation my family never could afford.

To be clear, I'm talking about farm owners. I saw lots of poor farm hands.

“In the column, Jennifer Fahy, a communications director for Farm Aid observed, "The farm crisis was so bad (in the 1980s), there was a terrible outbreak of suicide and depression." But today, she said of stress and farmer suicide, "I think it's actually worse.”

Jennifer is completely full of shit.  22% intrest on negative incomes in the early 80’s.

By "the real ones" (polls) you mean Rasmussen that still uses land line phone calls (aka ridiculously old people)? Or just the highest one for your hero?

You also completely avoid your reading comprehension failure of course.

The poster said [he's only winning in the minds of his most fanatical supporters]. Aka YOU

Not all of his supporters (which is the 50% you're desperately clinging to which we all know is BS).

Also just to point this out.

Nearly all of these farmers Pedro is worried about are American.

The overwhelming majority of them are white.

Many are either multi-millionaires or billionaires.

Funny that pedro, who's nearly constantly displayed steady dislike for Americans, blatant racism towards anybody with white skin, and a pretty frequent dislike for the wealthy would now be so utterly worried about this group of people.

Lol. Blatant racism towards whites? Show me any post of mine where I am being blatantly racist, and I'll leave the forum forever.

I'm actually not worried about them. They deserve it... They voted for the Orange buffoon...

This thread is to show that Trump is a moron and a hypocrite and is screwing his own people.

You wont leave the forum, let's not play make believe.

Assigning negative motives to an entire group of people, as well as specific people due to their race is blatantly racist.

Holding the actions and words of members of a group in the worst possible light, as well as assuming racism/bigotry as a constant motive is in itself bigotry.

Holding radically different standards for one group while ignoring or even applauding the same actions in other groups is blatant racism/bigotry

Assigning hyperagency to people due to their race, or doing that in lieu with gross accusations to individuals or broad groups is blatantly racist.

You do all of these things constantly in regard to white people.

You do all of these things constantly on this forum in regards to Americans.

How many baseless accusations of racism have you made on this forum?  1000?  At least?

If somebody talked the way you do regarding white people the same way about Jews, they would sound like a Nazi from the 1940s.

Quit pretending you despise America and you generally dislike and mistrust white people.

Your a bigot.  And a racist.

Quit pretending you arent.
