Was looking over the 9" HG from Brownells -- is this type of welding normal? Looks like shit. Should I return it? Upper w/bushing and 16" barrel seem all good.

For 2 bills? I think it would look great on a 16” barrel.

Does Brownells manufacture that or is that HK? Pretty sure mine has the same thing.

Hmm, will probably just keep it then. It says genuine HK in the description at Brownells.

What's the deal with buying a 10.4" Nefarious barrel? I have to get a stamp for it?

You can build a pistol if legal in your state. Or SBR it if allowed

Im not big on piston ARs but I cant lie, the true 416 clones give me that HK boner lol. Id rather have a tommy built G36 for those game nerd vibes.... But  honestly this is a road I may very well have to go down one day just to have on in my collection lol.

Looks more like they didnt clean the weld up as opposed to a shitty weld IMO.

I have seen these next to the US bade handguards which appear to be robot welds. The spatter is like a german stamp imo. A big HK collector I traded parts with compared all his German handguards and confirmed the german like welds in the picture above.

In fact my crack head with a garage full of looted gear welding skill is what stops me from doing a full HK rebuild or parts kit lol. I may get one now why they are actually available in some sense of the word to tuck away for a later date lol.

It says no barrels under 16", but they make exceptions for certain guns if I pay a $200 tax? Is that as easy as just paying that at my FFL? And I wouldn't be able to sell it until I get the stamp?

So your state doesn't allow AR pistols but it allows SBRs?

And you there are multiple ways to sell an SBR.

AR Pistols are okay, and it actually looks like I would have to go in to do the fingerprints and all for the SBR. And looks like the same thing for a suppressor?

So what I can't use a SBR or a suppressor until I get a stamp?

Nope. You can also get in trouble if you dont have a pistol or SBR lower and posess a short barreled upper while you own a rifle lower, under constructive posession laws
