You are better off with the ALG. Thats not the entire trigger assembly. Just one piece

Haha I want to, but I'm going to chill for a week or two to see what other parts (I subscribed to) might pop up.

News, but not great news. One of the shop owners I talked to said that they might get in rod assemblies in 6-8 weeks.

Does anyone know how the supplies work there? Production is limited to HK licensed manufacturers/re-manufacturers? And do they supply each shop's order, or do they typically distribute sourced parts to several shops at once? Are there any parts that are discontinued indefinitely?

No idea how distribution works. But im pretty sure they still offer all parts on current production rifles. But I dont think HK will send over stuff that isnt offered in the US. Some stuff is even made in the US on the rifles that are offered here

I am starting to see what assemblies are going to be a biatch to find at a somewhat reasonable price, as you warned, so I finally sent that email to the ATF. Hopefully they come back with some good news, because a 6-8 week wait for a maybe kinda sucks.

Is it really this easy to assemble an HK416? There isn't a need for a gunsmith to make sure everything is perfect?

Well I can't argue with that, good enough for me.

$70, compared to $135 just for the HK MR556 trigger. The Wilson Combat is out of stock on their website, but they have theirs listed at $190. And the Geissele HK MR556 trigger is also out of stock, listed at $465 on their site.

Another dumb question -- what makes them illegal? You can't turn on the safety with those installed? Or they are for full auto?

Well looking at it again the Timney may be ok. But the binary one is a no go. Ca has a law against any mechanism that mechanically increases the rate of fire

Holey shit, I never even knew this existed, and I think I know my AR10 type rifles...never knew about the 417. With a short stroke piston no less. I was just checking out an piston ar10 upper today:

https://www.primaryarms.com/primary-weapon-systems-mk216-mod-1m-ar10-complete-308-upper-gas-piston-18

The HK came in 12, 16 and 20 inch barrel lengths. Wow.

Talked to Brownells today. It looks like it's safe to backorder the gas pistons if you are willing to wait until the 1st week of November.
