The DA will shoot herself in the foot if she pursues this.  These guys are lawyer up and are lawyers themselves.  It will have the opposite effect that the whole crew is looking for

Exactly. It's obvious these people have money and they will fight this thing to a point of making the da look like a dumbass.

Honestly though I wonder if the da even cares. It's all about optics and when they are cleared this story will be long gone from the news and people's minds.

Everything they did was 100% okay until she pointed the weapon at people.  He won't have any charges, she will.

Not that they need it, but if they set up a donation page I'd bet a lot of people would like to donate to help defeat the idiotic charges.

Kim Gardner has a < 20% conviction rate, is under investigation for her lead detective lying under oath to charge the Governor of MO, and claims that all of her problems are because St Louis is racist....

She might be charged but they would be for show only because the law is on her side.

Who's to determine a peaceful protest when that group of protesters trespass during a time when people are burning down homes and stores for no reason?

Don't forget, it wasn't "their" property but common shared space.

If an angry mob tearing down the gate to your property and entering isn’t a valid reason to point a firearm than there are no valid reasons to ever point a firearm

Attempted Murder? LOL

You can’t be serious. Attempt Murder is perhaps the most difficult offence to prove given that intent has to be established. Where’s the intent? This is fucking ridiculous.

That would be an argument for the jury. The supreme court ruled that the police are not liable or obligated to maintain your personal safety.

There is no way these people will be found guilty of anything. Trespassers broke into a private neighborhood and were thinking they'd be welcomed? lol

I’ll treat this statement as correct.

They’re part of the commonality that owns the land. The rioters weren’t. Seeing as they hadn’t been invited onto the property, partial owners have the legal right to protect it.

It’s like if a sister invites a guy into her home then her brother doens’t want him there and calls the cops. He legally has a right to be there since a legal resident gave him permission.

This is the opposite. A legal property owner never gave them permission.

Those old neighborhoods are incredible but they’re less than a half mile from absolute ghetto.

not the gate to their property. the gate to their community. they were understandably scared, but you can't go approaching and waving your gun around at people on the sidewalk in front of your house while you are arguing with them, which is what she was doing.
