Would you still consider his Presidency a win Overall?

With a 6 to 3 SCOTUS, i think no matter what, he "won"  it would handicap the Dems for a decade or longer

Well since I think within the next 4 years you will see a ton of economic chickens come home to roost...yea.

His presence would loom large for decades, and hopefully his appointees can hold back the coming madness from the left for a generation.

This will also play bad for a DNC who plan to blow up the filibuster almost without question.

Apparently they havent realized this system has favored them over the past 4 decades.

It depends on if the Dems keep the house and take the senate. If so, they will stack the court and that will be the end of the country. I think it is all just delaying the inevitable though. The US has been on an unsustainable course for decades now, we are circling the bowl.

No, because he would have lost to the most inept challenger in the history of Presidential Politics.

That's a pretty good point.  Losing to an idiot who's failing visibly and the most unlikable running mate in history would be tough to look past.

I think the only way Trump doesn't win is by mail in voter bs.

I hope you guys get him for a second term

His Presidency is the 4 years he was the President. Not if gets re-elected.

Securing a 6-3 court is massive, along with his large number of federal judge appointments. That is a huge win.

the only way for him to lose is if the democrats cheat which they are desperately trying to do.

And he would have still lost to the most inept challenger in the history of Presidential politics. The real burn would come from the fact he accused lowly Mitt Romney of "choking" for losing to Obama, who was at least formidable. If Trump loses to Biden, WHILE having all the power of incumbency, it's a double wammy.

Just by being President, he sits at an 80% chance of victory. The fact he could go in with that advantage, but still lose to a guy who can't speak, would be a massive embarrassment.

The Supreme Court is really a thing of luck, depending on how many people die and when. It's also a mechanism of the Senate. So the only thing Trump does is get to pick a name from a hat.

Look, I am happy the court is (perhaps) on its way to being less activist, but John Roberts has been a total failure and there is no guarantee Trump's nominee ever sees a vote. Sassy, Romney, and the two female hags will most likely block his efforts.

So there is that too.

The left keeps threatening to stack the court. However, they were going to try to do that anyway.

What no one seems to consider is what if the remade court rules that court stacking is unconstitutional?

The left has clearly communicated what they intend to do:

1. End the filibuster.

2. Pack the court.

3. Add hundreds of judgeships.

4. Add DC and Puerto Rico as States

5. End the electoral college.

If they are going to try these things anyway if they gain power, there is nothing to lose by going all in on SCOTUS.

What would the left do if SCOTUS keeps striking down their shenanigans as unconstitutional? They are the ones who invented judicial activism, it would be grand for it to come home to roost.

Let's be clear.

You end the electoral college system and go strait vote, the republic is over.  I owe no more allegiance to the other states of the nation, and the federal system is no longer a valid government.

Just based on finally chancing Americas posture toward China, his term was a giant win in my opinion.

I was living in China during Bush and Obama years...watching them biild their military. Watching them blatenly steal IP. And then listening to them laugh and mock the dumb Americans who didnt stand a chance against China's clever government.

Watching them eat shit has been an amazing gift.

Yep, it will actually look better for Republicans if a democrat gets to eat the upcoming economic shit sandwich.

Getting rid of the electoral college would take a constitutional amendment.  That will never happen.

Huge win. Of course I would be unhappy, but a 6-3 SC is almost too much winning!

They plan on trying to circumvent it with the national popular vote compact.

Yeah, the left is going to go hard as soon as they have the opportunity to, be it next year, next election, whenever. Everyone talks about the pendulum swinging from liberal to conservative and back, but from what I see, while that may be true, over time it keeps trending more and more liberal and pretty soon, straight up socialism will implode the country and it will be no going back. Things usually don’t trend back toward conservative once it gets this far out of control and when yoo look at academia, media, pop culture, and a huge percentage of the population all pulling for this shit, the writing is on the damn wall. The US, like every powerful nation, had its rise and now is in its fall. It pains me to say that but shit, the cards are stacked against any conservative resurgence.

That is the Democrats' plan, and it's their plan for whenever they get back into power, regardless of what happens with Ginsburg's seat.

it will never happen.  it will require a 2/3 majority vote in both houses of congress and agreement of 38 of the 50 states.  it also would have only changed a handful of elections and only really matters in the years leading up to a new census when delegate appointments are out of sync from the demographics of the specific states.
