We knew that we were on the right track a few months ago when the lymph nodes were clearing up.

After advancing to and treating as stage 4 cancer, 7 total surgeries, 3 abdominal surgeries, 1 that almost killed me, 2 ports, setting up sepsis, being on TPN for over a month and not eating, having to have physical therapy to walk again at UK, three different types of chemotherapy, depression, and neuropathy, THIS is the news that I got no more than 3 minutes ago:

THERE IS NO EVIDENCE OF ANY PRIMARY OR METASTATIC DISEASE!

It took my health, my job, my income, and at times I honestly thought my mind. I knew that if it was going to kill me then I would go out swinging! All I've done from day one is fight. I honestly feel like I've been running for two years and I finally get to sit down and rest.

I had a good feeling when I posted all the progress a few months ago. The main tumor was gone but the lymph nodes were still showing cancer. I never expected this

VU op. Be aware of what it means though. I don't want to be a wet blanket, but your guard needs to be up, and it needs to stay up forever. NED means no evidence of disease, not disease is 100% gone and done.

You probably heard my story. Lost a 5 yo daughter in 2011, and my wife is stage iv breast.

Ned is what you have to strive for, but it is not end of the road. I think you know that, but so many that we were in treatment with just didn't understand that. Hell, sometimes I don't think my wife understands it. Ned is great, it is. It's just now you need to live the best healthiest life you can, because you will have that stage IV DX forever. Live your best when you can though, and prey it never returns. Good job op.
