It is the new Gundam robot. It is going to be placed outside the Gundam factory. There is also another robot outside the shopping centre where the flagship Gundam store is in Tokyo

It’s a slightly mobile statue. We are so far off from something remotely close to that happening. The gundams are like a pop culture thing. Featured in anime, models, toys etc.

Japan better get on it. I could see us sitting it out the next time China fucks with them.

It's a gundam based of a manga and anime. It's just for show. Most of the movement is from a lift if you look at it's feet they are off the ground

Actually we aren’t really. Miniaturized nuclear reactors is all it would take to create something like this. The problem is that the concentration of enriched radioactive composite that is needed to sustain power for any relevant length of time is likely way outside of international nuclear regulations.

Thank you for clarifying but this thread is mostly for satire.

lol @ militarized

I guess we really need to worry once they give it a beam saber or a mega-particle cannon.

Even then we are safe unless the colonies start a revolt

You're so wrong, we are not far off from this tech. Watch the documentary Godzilla vs. Mecha-Godzilla for proof.
