I don't understand why you people continue to talk about this moron, he literally would not be famous at all, nobody would even remember he played in the nfl if it wasn't for people bitching about him, he wasn't ever even a good nfl player

"""""""""he wasn't ever even a good nfl player"""""""""

Krappernick is a fake piece of shit.
I can't stand him.

That said... he was indeed a very good NFL player for a season and a half.
He had several games that would be considered elite.
No question.

But ultimately he wasn't able to evolve as the league figured him out.
He even trained with Kurt Warner in the offseason, and not much improved.
Krap is mentally weak, and not a good leader -- so it makes sense that he wasn't able to evolve beyond his elite athleticism.
Part of it might be blamed on coaching.
There is a debate there... but I don't care enough to get into it.

I'm glad he's out of the league.

Literally never even made a pro bowl, he was average at absolute best you can easily name 10 QB's better than him on his best year

Simply not true.

The guy out dueled Tom Brady in the snow in Foxborough, mostly with his arm.

He set a record against Green Bay in the playoffs.

I am the last guy to praise Krappernick.

But you can't just ignore things that actually happened.

Simply not true? If you can't easily name 10 QB's who had a better season than him any season he played I'm not sure I believe you watch football, he was always considered the biggest liability on those 49ers teams, the only reason he even started was because of Alex smith leaving

edit: I would put him as the 14th best QB in 2013, his best year

Wow...

You are disconnected with reality man.

Seems like you weren't really watching at the time.

Harbaugh decided to go with Krappernick while Alex Smith was still on the team.
It was about half way through the season.
Smith was injured but it wasnt major.
Krap looked very good against The Bears, so Harbaugh decided to stay with Krap.
It was controversial at the time, because Smith had led the Niners to the NFC championship the year before.

It was MAJOR talking point of that NFL season, Harbaugh took a risk going with Krap over Smith.

How could you forget that if you were following the season??

And yes... Krappernick 100% played ELITE football over the next season and a half.
This is indisputable.

That first year he ran for 180 yards against Green Bay in the playoffs, setting an NFL playoff record.
He absolutely torched GB that game.

There were other big games where he played at an elite level.

Can't stand the guy... but you are wrong, and it's not even a debate.

a concussion isn't a major injury? Lol whatever you say, dude got sacked on 10% of his drop back in his best season, do you understand how astronomically bad that is? elite players make pro bowls, elite QB's complete more than 58% of their passes, he had a few good games but he was absolutely never the starter when Alex smith wasn't Injured. Absolutely nobody besides you has ever called him elite lmao

You don't know what you're talking about.

Krappernick started and Smith never got the starting job back.
That's the last 3rd of the regular season and every playoff game including the Superbowl.
Harbaugh chose to stick with Krappernick, because he was playing very good football and winning games.

And are you only looking at passing stats?
You do realize that rushing yards count in the NFL right?
If you only look at passing stats, Michael Vick wasn't elite either.

I never said Krap was a top passer in the league.
I said he was a very good player and had elite games.

You said he was never good... which is factually and demonstrably incorrect.

I realize you didn't actually follow those seasons... but there are plenty of articles available from the time.

ITT: white guys who never suffered systematic racism are telling black people who have been routinely murdered by the authorities they are making a big fuss about it.

Kaep is only part white.

“Routinely murdered by authorities” is a non-starter. There is absolutely zero factual evidence to back up that claim.
