Found this video and it highlights who Manga/Anime is the future and that Marvel and DC are fucking themselves with their SJW nonsense

Japan just does not give a shit about SJWs and will not have any of that nonsense. Thats why their sales numbers are growing and Marvel and DC is dropping.

Also the manga OnePiece as also outsold Batman all time in terms of most copies sold in its lifetime.

Batman maybe still the king in terms of popularity and being known but Luffy one day will take that crown if things keep going as they are.

Comic books are a niche hobby. Comic book movies are far more popular.

Meanwhile, in Japan, manga are very popular and manga series are often even more popular than the anime that are made out of them.

Two different markets.

Well if we are talking other forms of media we should also talk games.

Manga and Anime oriented games are out selling comic book games. For example Dragon Fighters Z or The new Shonen Jump game.

Also the video game market is now larger then the movies market even in a down year of gaming.

Come talk to me when a movie about anime characters grosses 1.5 billion dollars.

"The list only includes box office revenue, and does not include ancillary revenue from other sources such as home entertainment or merchandise sales, where a number of anime films earn significantly more revenue. My Neighbour Totoro (1988), for example, has a total lifetime revenue of approximately $1.5 billion in combined box office"

Ok, so I guess we can talk now. Sorry to have you waiting for 1 min.

Hasn't manga been outselling superhero graphic novels since the turn of the century, even before the SJW movement was even an idea in anyone's minds?

But then that would mean the average superhero film is probably making $5 billion if you use that metric.

I'd think so , it's much more mainstream in Japan.

Comic book sales have sharply declined since the 90s but have been steady over the last few years.

However, the infestation of Social Justice parasites in Marvel is literally killing the industry and driving independent comic stores out of business. Distribution agreements mean that for every X-Men or Spiderman, retailers are forced to stock issues of Squirrel Girl or America Chavez that are virtually impossible to sell.

Also, the movie franchises that should be boosting comic sales bear no relation to their print counterpart. A new fan inspired by Robert Downey Jr's on-screen Iron Man walks into a store and leaves disappointed after finding out that Iron Man is now a (completely insufferable) 15 year old black girl...and Thor is a woman...and Hulk is Korean...and Captain America is literally a Nazi etc.

There's a whole 'Comicsgate' thing that has been going for the last couple of years, which has been pretty eye-opening (and entertaining).

Basically, morbidly obese autistic neckbeards like Dan Slott and Tom Breevort became born-again male feminists in their old age and brought in a clique of radical feminist bloggers to be their work girlfriends at Marvel. Despite said bloggers being completely untalented and viewing comics solely as a vehicle for injecting their Identity Politics nonsense.

^Truth. And that's why I like Manga more.

The SJWs cant stand that Japan is making Mangas like Goblin Slayer or The Rise of The Shield Hero. Those 2 mangas dont give a damn about painting women in a positive life. They just tell a story as they want it to be. Sometimes women are treated well and are the hero and sometimes they are the villains or victims or just normal people.

Goblin Slayer literally has a violent rape scene in the first 10 minutes.
