Boo fucking hoo. Living in one of the busiest and most populated areas of the country and crying because some trucks drive by or some new houses get built.

Go somewhere rural if you want total quiet and privacy. Better yet, go live in the ghetto and experience some real, grimy, city living. Youll go back to your *little* 8,000 sq/ft house with a whole new appreciation.

And while Im in rant mode, who the fuck could possibly need a 50, 60, 90 thousand sq/ft house? Thats got more floor space than my whole apartment complex. The last house my parents had before they split and sold it was around 2,500 sq/ft and I felt like I was walking into a mini mansion when I first saw it.

Fucking 90,000sq/ft and calling it a house. Ive worked in warehouses and distribution centers that were smaller than that.

Jesus how out of touch these people are.

Pissed about construction? How in the actual fuck do you think your palatial mansion got there? One thing I found hilariou is when they were talking about the view and you can’t see ahit because of the smog.

Free market at work, folks.

Is anyone supposed to have sympathy for the guy who founded Ticketmaster of all things? The company that charges outrageous add on fees.

Or poor Maureen Levenson who’s terrace is larger than the average home in the US?

insert Matt Sera.

A small Lowe’s store is 88,000 sq ft.  Typical in small towns.  Your average Lowe’s is 125/ft.

What in the hell do you do with a home the size of a Lowe’s store?

Yes, poor Maureen Levenson with her amazing view and an incredible house in one of the best locations in the world. She has to endure the sound of trucks going by. Poor, poor millionaires!

Must be nice just to be able to fill out a house that size. Even if you gave me a house that size totally free, Id end up living entirely in a single room.

Rich folks just want bigger, and more, and out do the other rich folks.

I wonder sometimes if any of these people ever experienced anything close to just trying to survive with the bare minimum.

If I suddenly hit to ultra lotto and walked out of it a billionaire, I still wouldnt want a house even 1/10th the size of those "giga" mansions.

I’d start with a 20 car garage then go from there, probably a whole bowling alley and a 25 seat movie Theater, enough rooms for 10 escorts and a counter top long enough to bust out a 40ft line of coke

It's called a palace.

They are building a modern day Versailles / Buckingham Palace / Winter Palace as monuments to their own egos and wealth.

I've got 3000sq ft set up for a family of four and a business. Still have extra space.

My house is 987sq feet plus a unheated breezeway that attaches to the garage. We are a bit cluttered but for two people its plenty of room.

If I was rich I would buy a moderately larger house so I would have space for my rich person hobbies with a very large garage as i would want a bunch of cars.

Only moderately larger?

Id say I’d probably rock at least 2,500,

Not close to what these people complaining have.

its just funny seeing people that live in extreme excess are complaining about those that took it to the next level

I’m so happy living in Appalachia.  We have really rich people who have second homes here upwards of 10-15 million dollars.  But we’re all tucked away in our own space. I can’t imagine living in LA.  I’d be absolutely miserable around any of those people.

I can tell in getting to a “get off my lawn” phase of my life when I realize I’m smiling watching those miserable pricks be miserable

Ever run across “old green eyes”? He’s the ghost of a confederate soldier that also takes the form of a Panther in Appalachia.
