What would you do if you were the Colts GM? Trade for another QB or likely miss the playoffs this year with Jacoby Brissett as your starter all season?

Two weeks before the season starts you go with Brissett.

Indy is essentially fucked this year. You ride out what you have and reassess come draft time.

I wonder how they news media will respond to this. Normally when a player leave their team like this, the former players and other personalities trash the player for quitting on his team. I wonder how they will take it when its a QB/face of the franchise.

It could. You just dont find another Andrew Luck like its nothing. The colts were lucky to go from Peyton to Luck.

They were a team many thought could be in the superbowl.

This news makes me wonder about Josh McDaniels and why he bailed on Indy at the last minute.

Did he get wind something like this could be on the horizon? Sounds like Luck was considering retiring last offseason because of the shoulder injury and how poorly it was healing

Turns out a good offensive line and good coaching lead to qb longevity.

Just tank. Throw away this season go 0-16. Draft the best QB in the draft next season

Whats good for him is that he actually stayed in college to finish his degree and didnt leave early to go to the NFL.

A engineering degree from Stanford for sure will help him post football.

I don't have any insider info on who might be available. I'm sure Teddy Bridgewater would come at a fairly high price, but he might be one option.

A Pats fan I know suggested Eric Ebron for Brian Hoyer. Hmm...

This article suggests that Eli Manning might be a possibility. Not sure how enthused Indy fans would be about that idea though. The author also mentions Ryan Fitzpatrick and Case Keenum as considerations.

i would put those guys in the same tier as brissett

i just dont think they are worth giving up future assets for

you're not going to win with those guys anyway

tank it out draft someone or hope luck comes back after a year off

But, apparently, Clowney wants to go to the Seahawks or the Eagles.
