I don't know who any of these people are. These names sound like computer generated names from NBA live 98.

It's the LA select team. Most of which is from the FIBA world qualifying team. Having trouble copying the Twitter link that has basic info on the players.

It's because jvg was head coach. Realest man involved in the NBA.

That and the fact that Team USA has maybe one guy that would have made the Dream Team. This team is constructed mostly of unproven youngsters and veteran role players. It's not an all-star team like back in the day. I believe Kemba Walker is the only all-star on the squad.

Never been a big fan of the guy but that sucks to see. Not even 30 and his career is most likely over.

I don't know if it's career over, but it definitely makes an already difficult recovery even more difficult. Bill Walton missed nearly four seasons yet managed to come back and be an important depth guy on a championship team, so there is still SOME hope for Boogie.

There was hardly no market at all for Cousins this offseason....it will only be that much worse next season. I think he's done.

Really?
Lue turns down a head coach role with the Lakers because they were tying his contract length to Lebron, just to take an assistant role at the Clippers? WTF?

If Lue took the Lakers job, he was unemployed as soon as LBJ opted out. More than that, he likely would have never been a head coach again. We all see him as LeBron's boy, after all.

Lue appears to want to be his own man. I respect that.

I would think the head coach role would be more important. Winning is all that matters.
If he did well, he would have been kept on at the Lakers, just like he was initally kept on in Cleveland. Losing is what gets a coach fired ...which is generally going to happen after any franchise player departs and isn't immediately replaced.

Its an important skill set itself to be able to deal with and placate the huge egos of the franchise players. Especially Lebron who operates as coach and GM at the same time to an extent no other player ever has.

Maybe Lue wants to keep in the game before taking on the higher stress role again. Who knows...

If winning is all that matters then you should understand why he'd pick the Clippers over the Lakers right now. And deep down he probably doesn't want the bullshit that comes when Labron gets pissy.

The first two sentences follow on - winning as head coach is all that matters.

Let me know when Harden has 10 scoring titles lol. Jordan was better and did it without relying on the refs and living at the FT line

While you're correct your last two points are irrelevant. In this situation it doesn't matter how you get the points as long as you get.

It's factually true, sadly. Last season Harden was pretty much the best scorer in NBA history, aside from maybe Wilt back in the early 60s when he averaged 50 PPG.
