While the two sides exchanged proposals in recent days, there is mounting pessimism Chargers’ holdout Melvin Gordon will be reporting anytime soon and his holdout threatens to go into the regular season, per sources. Time to rely on Austin Ekeler, Justin Jackson, Detrez Newsome.

Sources: Free agent LT Donald Penn is heading to Richmond to meet with the #Redskins about a possible signing. They have a big need with Trent Williams’ holdout and up-in-the-air status, and the former Raiders starter may fill it.

C'mon Melvin, show the fuck up. Otherwise one of my fantasy leagues is already dead.

The #Dolphins are signing former #Cowboys WR Allen Hurns to a 1-year deal worth up to $3M, source said. Instant depth.

Not only did Giants WR Sterling Shepard dislocate his thumb at Thursday’s practice, but WR Corey Coleman also tore his ACL. Brutal.

I feel bad for Corey Coleman. Dude has had such a tough NFL career since being drafted.
Hey TJMitch, getting excited yet?
Sergio -
So much for that “Super Bowl Contender”
And Antonio Brown shows up for Training Camp in a hot air balloon.
Different City, Same Nonsense. That guy is almost as in love with himself as Arod is.
Enjoy going 6-10!
The #Lions gave DL Mike Daniels a 1-year deal worth $9.1M with $7.8M guaranteed... and of the 13 teams who called, four other teams were willing to do that deal or better. But the former #Packers star wanted to play for coach Matt Patricia... and stay in the division.

Source: The #Seahawks and LB Bobby Wagner have agreed to terms on a 3-year, $54M extension. Locked in. ??????

Why don't NBA players show up to beginning of each season fat as fuck? These are professional athletes at the highest level, mostly in their prime. These days everybody is working through the off-season, the only difference is they aren't taking hits and are letting their body recover from hits. For every Kelvin Benjamin that shows up fat as shit and blames his quarterback, there are 100 guys like Bell who can take a whole season off and show up in great shape.

Just asking for the pros and cons
Bell is a shitty teamate IMO...left his team hanging and they needed his ass, probably a good business decision though
IMO a percentage of athletes get lazy when money is guaranteed...what percentage is certainly up for debate.
I am all for the NFLPA making changes if they choose to do so.

You can lower the chances of lazy players by making the contracts shorter but increasing the guarantees. A full guarneteed 3 year deal would keep pretty much anyone motivated. Hard to pull off though.
Any serious injury would be brutal for Green and the Bengals. Easily their best weapon, and Green is in a contract year. https://t.co/icSivOmhE8

The #AZCardinals released former first-round defensive lineman Robert Nkemdiche, with frustration from the team coming to a head. Time will tell if a fresh start does the trick.

An MRI revealed that Bengals’ WR A.J. Green has torn ligaments in his left ankle that is likely to sideline him six to eight weeks, source tells ESPN. Green is not expected to be ready for the regular-season opener at Seattle.
