I also wish I had played at the nugget just for history's sake.

I also think I said something retarded about the value of tells early on in this thread. It really is valuable in my home games. But obviously, we kind of instinctively know how to play at this point.

Exactly. It's hard to work on instinct when you're playing with strangers, so you're basically playing on card history and possibly picking up a legitimate tell if you're lucky. At the very low limits you can pick up the classic tells pretty often if you're playing with morons.

Does anyone know, is it possible to play online these days in states where online play is not legal? I assume not.

If you can legally get money on the sites. Sure!

Remember the days of working as a 911 dispatcher and playing small stakes all night. That was so amazing.

Would a barking dog complaint sometimes linger because I was in a monster $7.50 pot? Perhaps.

Up 200. You havent lived until youve been 3 bet pre flop by an 84 yo. Who then moves directly to your left.

Crush em in Vegas DaveFu...you've only got tonight!!!

Went and updated my sessions over the past year to add to last year and found out that overall I'm still up over the past 18 months, so at least that's good news. It's only a profit of $350 over roughly 100 hours, so that means basically:

Anyway:

1/2: Loser
1/3: Slight winner
3/5: Slight winner
Under $100 tournaments: Winner
Over $100 tournaments: Loser

What does it mean...nothing really, but haven't checked my stats in months so I thought I'd post...and wish DaveFu good luck in his last night in Vegas.

Played a 2 hour session this week while in Denver.  Was completely flop dead and ended up punting off my stack with pocket 5's.  Quite an accomplishment since it is spread limit play.  Got the badness out of my system so I am ready for next Friday when I play in the WSOP Circuit event.  Going to be the largest buy-in tourney of my life.  $400.  My goal is to not bust on the first hand.

Left Vegas up 425. Fuck you $125 Binions tourney...(2nd $725 winner take all)

I STILL HATE TOURNEYS!!! If I won a big one, I would hate them only slightly less.

Back to my usuall haunt tonight and maybe the old folks game tomorrow.

Going to try and get 20+ hours in this weekend.

I've played that tourney twice. First time I busted out on the second hand when I flopped a set of 10s and someone else flopped a straight.

Second time I made it into the "money". In quotes because I won about 200 bucks.

Tournaments are not as interesting to me as deep stack cash. Maybe because I haven't studied the game enough to appreciate the nuances.

Sorry I couldn't meat up bro ham. Hope you had fun.

Vegas sucks degening it up solo running around with your bankroll on you like a drug mule.

It did get me eager to scratch the itch and take some shots at 2/5.

I just found out my folks are out of town for the next two weekends so I will probably stay all of next weekend up there. That game may be the softest in FL.

Trimuphant return to the home base LOL

Left up 17.

It was flopped a set of fives on A35 board. Get it all in for 125 each on the flop and lose to A6o when the board runs out A35 24....

Called 125  dollar stack with KK against AA.

Got in against a 100 dollar stack with JJ against KK.

I was up a little under 300 at one point......

That place is rarely kind to me......

Leaving Vegas up is a great feeling.  Congrats.

I played in the WSOP Circuit yesterday.  $400 buy-in and 4 flights for the 2 day tourny.  I started out well.  Started with 15k in chips and get up to 21k in the first 40 minutes.  Then it went nuts.  Lost most of my stack with a full house losing to quads.  That one hurt.  Then got busted on with pocket 10's against Ace 10 suited.  Guy hit the flush on the river.

Pro tip.  Don't go play cash after getting bad beat busted in a tournament.  I proceeded to punt off $250 in 1/2.

I was in Vegas for a month for work and played the Binnions tournament a lot about 15 years ago.  Won it once and that was my largest poker win until recently.  It was a nice $1600 payday.

I didn't. I was mad about losing that tourney heads up so I called it a night. It takes a lot to get me steaming. But that did it and I knew I wouldn't be playing "my game" because of it.

Another worknan like perofrmance. Started the first hr or 2 down a buy in. I lost a raised straddle 3 handed pot with qj against kj my second hand there. Lost another decent pot when pocket kings turned a set on my ace high flop when he called my cbet. There was a flush draw and a pair of kings with the flush draw made sense. Especially when he didnt 3bet his kings.

Grinded it out for 10 hrs and left up 220. Nice 420 swing. Some old old man wouldnt let go his kings (he only raised one hand in 3 hours for 8 bucks) turned bottom two pair and took 100 off of him.

This room is great once the high hand chasing geezers split.

Sounds like a fun weekend of poker and profitable at the same time.  I am taking 3 weeks off until I go to Vegas.  I am on a $1,350 downswing and need to chill for a bit.  Probably study up some more on ranges and position strategy.  Then rape the games in Vegas.

Are you looking at 2/5+

Wynn Aria Bellagio (Venetian) are the spots. Caesars can be alright. The nugget uncapped game is interesting if you're downtown. None of the rooms particularly wowed me.  I did like the "service" at Rio, Golden Nugget, South Point, and Orleans.

I am going to play at Aria the first day.  Never played in their before and want to give it a shot.  Might move to Bellagio that evening.  I love playing there.  Last night will probably be at the Wynn.  Never played there either so what the hell.

I think I am done with the Venetian for while.  Fuck that place and the bullshit they are trying to pull with the big tournament at the end of Oct.
