people really have no idea unless you are here everyday. I work downtown near 5th and Mission, right smack in the middle of it all. Shit and needles every morning. Then at night if I drive Uber you see even worse

There are no easy answers but no doubt there is a better way because this has never gotten better in the 25 years I have lived here, just worse and worse

I like you and your posts. So please do not take this wrong. But I think you are in a unique position to answer a question for me.

You have posted for a long while and have shown yourself to be a very sane and intelligent man. You see the same issues going on in your state just like the rest of us. Much like the rest of us you think it is nuts.

So in your opinion, as a resident. Why in the hell do these politicians that do nothing but cause more issues, while solving none, keep getting elected? Do those around you not see these things or what the hell is happening there?
I am genuinely baffled by this. And can't for the life of me even speculate as to why seemingly rational people can keep voting in the Dianne Feinsteins and the like.

San Francisco sounds like the American dream to the OG. People who "work hard" are wildly rich, property owners charge as much as they can possibly get away with and cater to the elites, and the people who can't hack it are reduced to homeless trash.

Beautiful, Champ. Lol.

This is about as bassackwards as you can get.

"Rich property owners" that mind-set right there is a huge fucking problem. You all that live there in these shit-holes see only the wealthy buying property.

For the rest of us in the middle of this land, buying a home and/or property, is a very normal, expected, middle class thing to do.

Our standards are so damn different at this point, between big city people and all the rest of us, we minus well be two damn separate countries.

Nope. Run by liberals

Can you say anything negative about your party? Are you allowed to?

This is what happens when the largest property owner is a slumlord.

San Francisco is so far gone and I don't see it coming back anytime soon. Everything is a give away. The homeless problem is about compassion not reality or reason. I have no idea why people keep voting the same way but in California when you go outside SF & LA it is almost like you are in a different country

I stay because I have been locked into my job for 24 years, my wife's business is anchored here so it is tough to leave. I would with almost all far leaning left people and in a group it is the hate Trump & Republicans but you get them one and one and their tone changes somewhat tey they know things are getting worse in almsot every aspect of the state but they will not change their vote. Republicans have nothing to do with htis state.

They have actually stopped water flow to crops in the central valley to save some small fish, crops are how the state flourishes yet they stop water, that is what we are dealing with in California. Indian Casinos were supposed to mean schools would never need money again, then the lottery meant the same thing yet our schools are shit and have no money, where is the money from the lottery going???

Oh, the answer is quite easy BUT too many pussies would prefer to stay in office and be PC and "progressive" so fuck it..keep it rolling downhill...afterall it is "progress" just not what they would have people believe.

San Fran's housing market has been artificially manipulated and homelessness is way out of control.

We're a one party state.

THIS is the best the Dems can do with the richest state in the U.S. when given all the power...?

It's really unfathomable.

Aren't there any black or hispanic conservatives that can run?

It's dumb that you have to play that game but if it's the only way, so be it.

LOL, the progressive left is what it fears. They turned the city into the boogeyman they try to paint concervatives as, and then try to skirt the blame
