So the entire story arc of Jon Snow was to reveal that he was truly a Targaryen but it meant absolutely nothing in the end? Haha!

All he got out of it was a dragon ride.

What a disappointing ending. They should have at least had Drogon show up in the last scene to be with Jon.

Maester Aemon of the Night’s Watch was the rightful heir to the Iron Throne as well. Sometimes deserves aint got nothing to do with it.

It was what was necessary for Creepy Bran to carry out his plan of becoming the King of Westeros.

At least let Jon fly off on Drogon in the end. WTF. All that buildup.

Kit Harrington, the actor who plays Jon Snow, was asked to sum up the ending in one word.  He said "disappointing."  He was very correct.

So many of the things built up in the show just fizzled out with a hand wave.

It's like nothing even fucking happened in the show. So everything is pretty much the same with just a democracy and boring Bran ruling? The North is still the same. The wildlings are still the same. Everything else is pretty much the same. Bleh.

Weren't Sex & the City tours a thing for a while... Will they be doing that, or are they already doing that for GOT sets/locations???

It's a great fakeout. The entire series is about subverting fantasy tropes.  Having another king by virtue of birth would have truly meant little change to Westeros, and made Daenyrs entire arc of breaking the wheel pointless

I did see it.  I know, he also said "epic," and likely meant something else by "disappointing."    But "disappointing" was inadvertently correct.

Pretty much the opposite of what you said. The North is a kingdom, wildlings are now accepted, its not really a democracy but ruler for life. Bran is boring but the only decent choice. Tyrion and Jon make terrible choices. Sansa doesn't give a shot about the seven kingdoms. Who else is there.

Aside from everything being different... it’s all pretty much the same.

Bran rules the six kingdoms. When was the last time that was a real thing? Every other king just claimed to rule them all.

The free folk get along with the “southerners”, one of them even joined them without issue ... Jon may even be their king.

While Bran was voted in, that’s hardly making the realm a democracy.

Do you guys actually watch the show and think about stuff, or just complain incessantly?

Being a Targ is what allowed Jon to kill Dany and it's what kept the dragon from killing him after he did it.

Watching the show and thinking about stuff is the issue, that’s why it’s so bad. Why were Cersai and Jamie dead and buried under five pounds of brick? Why didn’t greyworm just execute Jon immediately? If Drogon has the intelligence to melt the throne then why were vicerion and rhaegal too fucking stupid to dodge an arrow? The fuck is Bran? Why wouldn’t they just completely reverse the decision to make Jon take the black once again after the unsullied left because they were the ones calling for justice?

That and a million other questions await when you start to think about shit, you can’t think if you’re going to watch this season and find it enjoyable.

His claim meant nothing.

Bran the warg/3er meant nothing.

Arya stealing faces meant nothing.

Jon the new king beyond the wall was cute tho.

hubris - Jon Snow was completely useless character in the final episode

Jon Snow was far from useless. He literally saved the world by killing Daenerys. She had a dragon with an army of Dothraki and unsullied and was going to do to the entire world what she did to Kings landing.

And he put her down in the most clichéd, predictable manner possible. Why would Dany even let him get that close if she were becoming more paranoid and straight up insane like her father? The previous episode she’d assumed Jon Snow had betrayed her, that feeling doesn’t leave a person especially knowing that they’re the rightful heir.

Dany would’ve been the one to strike first and she never would’ve let Jon close enough to try, so fucking bizarre that she’ll burn down an entire city and murder a bunch of kids then run up to the one dude who obviously has a serious issue with this and start making out with him.
