Grady Sizemore from 22-25 was a great player, then injuries ended a superstar type career.

We saw enough of him to realize he was nothing special.

First QB to rush for a 1000 yds and I think he holds the all time rushing record for a QB.  I'm sure he holds other records.  I would say he would probably be considered a little better than nothing special.  IMO

Holy fuck. You think teams give a fuck if a QB averages 60 yards rushing per game while having a terrible completion percentage?

Its only been a full season as a starter. He might be great but not yet.

Two Redskins come to mind...

INJURY: RGIII... even though I get the distinct feeling his career wouldn't have played out too much differently without that injury. His playing style would have gotten him injured catastrophically sooner or later, but I honestly feel the Redskins had a solid shot at the Super Bowl had he not gone down to injury that season.

MURDER: Sean Taylor... I doubt he would have stayed a Redskin, but fuck, he was such a BEAST! He literally locked down his part of the field!

Sterling Sharpe

People completely forgot how great he was. 100% would've gone down as one of the best ever had he not hurt his neck.

Johnny Bench is another all-time great who would have all-time greater if he hadn't had early health problems. He had a lesion removed from his lung as a 24 year old and was never quite the same again. He was still great for a long time afterward, but he went from being a perennial MVP candidate (he won two before his 25th birthday) and arguably the best player in the game to 'merely' being a top tier all-star and the best catcher in the game.

And didn't play the first half of his career with Don Majkowski.

Dimitry Tertyshny - young Flyers hoickey defenseman, had an amazing first year, died in a boating accident during the offseason.

Pelle Lindbergh - also a FLyers player, amazing young goalie, drove his porshe into a wall after leaving a party at the teams facility.

Dan Hardy -I know not the best but i enjoyed his fighting >

Artem Lobov.- apparently the best MMA fighter of all time,  he was not.
