This is a working replica of an 1873 Colt Single Action that was owned by Ranger Cal Aten. Cal and two other Rangers had gone to the hill country to apprehend the Odle brothers, resulting in a shootout in which both brothers were killed.
As Alvin Odle last dying he gave this pistol to Ranger Aten as Aten was comforting him. The actual pistol is on display at the Texas Ranger Museum.
This one is chambered in .45LC and made by Uberti, distributed by Cimarron. The pictures don't do it justice, and it shoots very well.
