AnthonyWeiner - Something doesn't add up. Biden is supposedly leading by double-digits nationwide, yet his rallies draw... tens of people? Sometimes less? Trump is giving speeches to tens of thousands in swing states, and Biden is hiding in his basement.

Something's got to give.

What the fuck is up with you guys and your obsession with rallies? Who the fuck goes to rallies? None of you guys go, so stfu. Why do you act like it’s this meaningful barometer when there’s a fucking pandemic going on and the Biden campaign has made it clear since the spring there would be no rallies or public gatherings if there was a lockdown going on?

I know you really really want your guy to win, but making shit up isn’t helping.

Rallies are a microcosm of the greater political community. For every person that supports a politician enough to go to a rally, there are hundreds, possibly thousands that support enough to vote for him but not waste time with a a rally.

Its not a perfect indicator but to pretend it means nothing is naive.

It means close to nothing as there are 350 million people in America. Nobody going to a rally is on the fence about who to vote for or if they are going to vote. These people will vote for Trump with or without a rally, he needs to find the people not going to these things if he wants to win

Trump is one of the least ‘presidential’ presidents to have ever taken office.

And as crazy as it is, he’s one of the best things that America and the entire western world could hope for in a leader.

I truly hope you dumb yanks vote to keep him in, or your nation is going to descend even further into corruption, socialism, brainwashing and war.

Ahhh when all else fails go to fear mongering. If Biden wins pedo's and communists everywhere, dems will eat your babies and we are all gonna die. If you want to live vote Trump. IYWTLVTrump

Serious question.

If Biden's rallies had tens of thousands attending while Trump's had the numbers Joe is pulling, would your opinion be the same?

Serious answer I would feel worse. Biden is running on covid as an issue and it's working really well so him having massive rallies would kill his safety message. Covid not withstanding I would still take no confidence from it. Bernie Sanders and huge rallies and got worked out. He had great enthusiasm from his base but not close to the silent majority of the left.

I think the Biden team would welcome large rallies regardless of what he is running on.  It does more harm than good to hold a rally and have ten people show up.   And if the Democrats aren't concerned about the contradiction of having mass protests and woman's marches where everyone is packed together like sardines, they wouldn't be worried about having thousands at a Biden rally.

And I believe Bernie would have won the primaries in 2016 or 2020 if not for DNC interference.  This year they had to throw everything they had to stop his momentum and keep him from winning the primary.

I noticed you ignored the Bernie Sanders point. Also I disagree, the party doing something and him as a candidate doing something is different. Him sending a safety message and always wearing a mask even when not needed sends a message they want to project. Also I would rather work on going on local news stations and doing local interviews right now is more important then speaking to people that will already vote for you no matter what. Preaching to the choir is an expression for a reason

Would also add Warren was drawing big crowds as well. I think a better indicator at this point might be small individual donors don't you? If Biden wanted to make a crowd he just needs Obama to headline and it would destroy the crowd Trump gets so it's all relative.

I am a registered Dem and will probably sit this one out. I posted in another thread that a pollster knocked at my house a few hours ago to ask me who I was voting for and I said I disliked both parties. He told me that he had been getting the same sentiment throughout his day and that although he was a registered Dem like me that he was thinking of sitting out as well. He said some of the other houses that opened the door to speak to him told him that everything leading up to the election made them dislike Biden to the point that they won't vote for him but their dislike for Trump won't allow them to vote for him either.

All that said, I believe Biden wins unless a huge amount of people just stay at home.

You took the bait from an undercover right wing operative.

I heard so many people saying that you don't see Biden signs anywhere, and I had to agree; I hardly saw any.

Yesterday I went golfing with my friends near their home in Orange County, and I was shocked at how many Biden signs I saw; there were many Trump signs too, but I'm starting to see the Biden signs coming out, on the golf course of all places.

My one friend that lives there's a retired PD helicopter pilot was playing with us.

I asked him WTF; he shrugged and said, you got me.

He told me his wife was over Trump; I started laughing because she had a Trump coffee mug in her hand when I went to pick him up.

He said she doesn't care if he loses because she misses her friends that don't talk to her anymore.

Yeah, it's a divided country, that's for sure.

Yeah, and as the younger generations of women get older they will have less and less tolerance for conservative white women until there’s a full-on Karen reckoning.

I believe individual donors are a better indicator.  Without looking it up and providing sources, I believe a large portion of Biden's donations are corporate.  I don't know the spread for Trump's.

"If Biden wanted to make a crowd he just needs Obama to headline and it would destroy the crowd Trump gets so it's all relative"

I disagree.  The Dems have moved so far left since his presidency that Obama might as well be a Republican.  In fact, less than a year ago there were articles being written like below with titles of "When did Obama become a Republican?"

https://www.cnn.com/2019/08/01/opinions/when-did-barack-obama-become-a-republican-avlon/index.html

The short answer to all this is it's pointless to make predictions right now.  Under a normal election we would have known who won on November 4th.  But with all the mass mail in voting we may not know for months.  500,000 mail in ballots had to be rejected in the primaries alone.  Expand that to the general election and they've created a scenerio where either candidate now has a legitimate reason to contest the election.

And that's exactly what the Democrats plan is.  Chaos.   If Biden shows an early win, the Dems declare victory.  If Trump contests the election they claim this is proof Trump is trying to steal the election.  If Trump shows and early win, The Dems contest the election and claim this is proof Trump is trying to steal the election.

Purely anecdotal but a ton of people voting for the first time on my social media stuff, immigrants, people I grew up with, college friends as well.

They all voted trump. Some of them are even left leaning.  One Venezuelan friend said paraphrasing "I'm quite liberal but democrats are supporting the policies that ruined Venezuela #maga" my Cuban friends all feel the same way huge trump fans

I work with refugee Venezuelans. Not sure if they have full citizenship as they are in green card/ refuge stage. All great people. Very hard workers. They like trump because they know what leffty/ socialism did to their country. I have a 65 year old man working his ads off in Florida heat everyday. Arrived in January, hardly understands the language, but he has grit. He lost his very successful real estate business in Caracas. I have lots of empathy for him. He sucked as a learner for the job but he tried harder rhan any 19 year old there. I took him under my wing because no one can put them in his shoes for just 5 minutes and understand he is a man to has a family to feed. He was my hardest trainee. I told him I admired his will to work even though 10% of my day for 6 months was checking on him and making sure he was doing this right and taking plenty of water breaks. After 6 months of frustrating yet rewarding training, he and I, are now good friends. He also got a good raise that I vouched for. He taught me a lot about understanding that people need help. I was there to help him. Now he is one of the best workers in the company.

Trump is trying to stop those dirty refugees from getting here, and here you are praising one of them. Where do your loyalties really lie?

Was that sarcasm? Trump isn't trying to stop legitimate refugees from entering our country. He's trying to stop economic migrants from abusing our immigration policy.

Uhhhh. Google this one. Youre wrong

But Trump had a big rally in Alabama cause he needs the votes there....he is gonna get smoked, early voting is heavy democratic and 10x what it has been in prior years

Source for these numbers being largely Democratic and10 x higher. Thanks.

Biden is an old guard democrat for sure.  But Kamala is the VP and she has been catering to the radicals and extremists.   One can't write it off as meaningless pandering.  Because if they feel the radicals are important enough to pander to, they are important enough to create policy changes that cater to them so they retain their vote in 4 years.

And this latest scandal proves old pedo Joe isn't quite so boring after all.
