Karen Valentine. She was everywhere. Room 222, Hollywood Squares, Loveboat, Love American Style. Only Paul Lynde, and possible Charles Nelson Reilly, were more ubiquitous.

It's all blending together in my brain, Jambo888. Should have titled it 1960s/1970s/1980s.

Heavyhands. You bought these and power-walked to burn off fat.

Everyone bought them, used them a few times, and threw them away. The odd thing is, they actually worked very well for burning off fat (the doctor who wrote the best seller that advocated them included pages after page of meticulous research showing fat loss) but you had to use them the way he intended - not just walking, but swinging your arms out like you were cross-country slkiing - which made you look so dorky no one wanted to do it.

Angel bars (handlebars on this bike)

Sissy bars (small one on the back of this bike)

Nobody ever wore a helmet

Sissy bars were awesome to tie a rope to and get pulled on your skateboard
