While much has been made about this big raid recently, the Trump administration is getting some well deserved scrutiny.

For all his rhetoric against illegal immigrants coming into the country and all the rhetoric against sanctuary cities, the reality is that the Trump administration has not charged a single company with a crime for hiring illegals.  It has charged less than a dozen individuals for hiring illegals.

Will the President actually take action against "sanctuary businesses" and "sanctuary farms" (the owners of which tend to vote for him)?

Also, he deserves significant scrutiny for the fact he has employed (over decades) and continues to employee huge volumes of illegal immigrants at his businesses.

Isn't this the height of hypocrisy?

Do you do any research before making these silly threads? Took me all of 2 minutes to find out that a judge has already signed warrants against the owners in the most recent mega bust. There is no other way to go after a business doing illegal things. You lock up the owners. Manage your expectations you fucking loon.

Op spreading fake news

https://www.dallasnews.com/news/immigration/2018/08/28/immigration-officials-descend-north-texas-company-allegedly-hired-undocumented-immigrants

Wrong.  There was a raid.  Workers were penalized.

Company was not charged or convicted.

Last article I found on them, the Federal employees said it "is on ongoing investigation."

It is pretty clear that they are going after the workers and less so the employer.  The last time the company was fined was under Obama for roughly half a million $.

Like I said in my OP:

"the reality is that the Trump administration has not charged a single company with a crime for hiring illegals.  It has charged less than a dozen individuals for hiring illegals."

Also, from the other article:

"“Not only are few employers prosecuted, fewer who are convicted receive sentences that amount to more than token punishment,” TRAC said in a statement.

Of the 11 people convicted during the 12-month period, only three served prison time despite Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s stated mission: “ICE’s worksite enforcement strategy focuses on the criminal prosecution of employers who knowingly hire illegal workers.”

Wrong

Load Trail’s total fines could reach well over a million dollars.

Looks like an ongoing investigation. But they raid the company because they hired illegals not because ICE saw a few brown guys walking into work  lol

"But they raid the company because they hired illegals not because ICE saw a few brown guys walking into work  lol  "

Who said this?  Stop making shit up.

The point is that they have not criminally charged the company.

Nothing I stated is erroneous.

You are listing things that "could" happen.

The reality is that they haven't.  Let's hope that they do.

Here we go again... stalker Dave following me from thread to thread.

It hasn't happened yet.

It is on ongoing investigation.

Stop pretending that they have criminally convicted any business when they haven't yet.

As I said in the OP, they have only criminally charged 11 individuals.

Most have been given a slap on the wrist:

"Also, from the other article:

Not sure how anything I stated would make me a "loon"?... but we have come to expect that behavior from you these days.

Plenty of Americans gladly work as plumbers, garbage men, Port-o-Let shit pumper, exterminator, and any number of other gross jobs. The difference is those jobs pay pretty well. Many of the jobs now dominated by illegals also used to pay well. Meat packers made more in the 1960s than they make today. Even hotel maids and bus boys made better money 20-30 years ago when they were employees of the hotel chains rather than contract labor.

The industries that use illegal labor extensively do so because they squeezed and squeezed and squeezed their legal labor force until nobody wanted those jobs anymore. They need to go back to paying REAL market labor rates, not the artificially depressed rates they pay now by undercutting the market with illegal labor.

This

A page back somebody said that illegals work harder than citizens. They work so hard that it would require 3 citizens for every 2 jobs illegals are able to do.

LMAO.

Why would Trump pass a law punishing businesses for hiring illegals? That would be like me passing a law against eating ass

Herein lies the problem.  For better or worse, part of our economy is set up for the hiring of illegals.  Even John McCain campaigned that we need them here to take jobs that Americans won't fill.   Of course that just means we won't fill them for anything close to the wages they pay the illegals.  To fill the jobs with Americans would skyrocket the cost of produce and poultry.  If the public starts paying $30 for a chicken or a handful of produce, everyone is going to turn pro-illegal immigration real quick.

How are you deriving these numbers?

if they pay poultry workers 12/hr and the wage would be 18/hr if filled with Americans that is a 50% increase in labor cost.

What percent of the final price does labor comprise?  Let’s say it 50% of the price now. Assume it’s $4/pound.

$2 would be half (labor costs). If labor cost increased 50% (from 12 to 18), the new price would be $5/pound

Not bad at all.

GOod post, yamie. prices will go up, but people overexaggerate how much. by A LOT.

Thanks, it’s nust scare tactics.

They also say that farming would be decimated if illegals were deported overnight.

No shit Sherlock.

ANY profession would be decimated if it workers were removed overnight.

Do these fuckwads actually believe that America couldn’t get anybody to do the work?  That we wouldn’t create machinery to automate jobs?

For fucks sake, how do the rest of the first world countries manage without cheap Mexican labor?

But, but, but .... multi-billion dollar agriculture megacorporations can't afford to pay their employees market rates. They HAVE to pay illegal labor below-market rates or their companies will collapse. Think of the poor children of all those CEOs and VPs.

Great point.

Not as if his Justice Department and ICE don't allocate resources to focus and prosecute certain crimes.

If he wanted to focus on these types of crimes, his justice department would definitely do it.

Listen to this guy you Jack ass! Did you think he was going to show up at each of their door steps with an arrest warrant? Do you even have any clue how this process works? I'm assuming you dont and that's probably just as big of an issue. All you fookin cry babies bellyaching over illegals being returned to what ever shithole country they came from and you have not the slightest clue about procedural actions.

Do you really think our government is going to spend a bunch of taxpayers dollars to coral up a bunch of illegal aliens that are working here illegally and were illegally brought here by our own citizens and not have a way of recuperating their monetary losses?

Just the fact that they are even doing anything about it and having positive results is 2 thumbs up from most of us. Instead of sitting behind a desk making broken promises like every other monkey mfer in a suit before him, he is actually following through with some of his campaign promises. That must really piss you leftiest retards off a whole bunch because you have no idea how to mount a defense against a president actually going through with what they promised in their campaign.

The best part is that you've done nothing but attempt to throw shit out the window of a moving vehicle and it's basically all came back into your vehicle and now NOBODY wants to sit in your backseat. Those that do realize they is no avoiding getting shit all over them so they are making a very lack luster attempt to make names for themselves for future elections because they have absolutely no shot in hell of winning this next election.

Are you a moron?

In the last 20 years, the President's administration with the most convictions against individual employers over a 12 month period was Obama (with 25).

President Trump's administration hasn't done jack shit to go after employers and penalize their businesses.

My guess is that he has avoided making it a priority for his administration because:

(1) they represent his donor class, and/or

(2) he has been meaningfully using illegals in his own businesses.

But regardless of the reason, there is little excuse that virtually nothing meaningful has been done to go after employers.

If he did, it would be a meaningful way to dissuade illegals from coming here.

Read the thread.

Most folks want the President to be consistent and go after the illegals but also go after the Employers who give them their jobs.

I cant really say I give a shit.  this is why we need a wall.  a company which might not otherwise hire illegal workers may be forced into it via market necessity.  the choice being hire illegals or go out of business.

It didn't.  The numbers are pitiful... it should be in the thousands of companies.

Every illegal arrested should be required to give the name of the company they worked for.

Then we fine the company.

But stop trying to pretend that anyone in the government is doing anything about it... especially this President.
