Two big caveats regarding global testing data:

1) Testing standards vary by country

2) Not every country is providing full results (China)

https://www.cnn.com/2020/03/26/health/number-of-cases-testing-data-intl/index.html

I understand it is hard for some of the more autistic members of the OG to comprehend why just regurgitating global data without scrutiny is a problem, but it is something Fauci and Birx have both talked about as well, in addition to reporters from WaPo, CNN, NYT, Fox News, etc.

There are some particularly queer Americans who want to root against the country's collective health because they think it will hurt Trump (which is demented), but again, the actual data is not as absolute as your smooth, smooth brain wishes it was.

Even if we assume China is lying, we've passed Italy, which is still indicative of a pandemic.

Do we have to double China's reported numbers? Triple? Which multiplier do you need before you're convinced it's truely a pandemic?

New York 100 deaths in one day. What number do you want it to be then? 1000? 10,000?

Even if we assume China is lying, your logic leads to a dead end. There's no point there.

Of course we passed Italy. The US has over 5x the population if Italy.

Far less density though. Plus, we're the richest country in the world and we had Italy's mistakes to learn from. If you told anyone on this board a week or two ago we'd lead the world in Coronavirus infections, they'd never believe you.

Far less density in most of the country. There's obviously a reason NYC makes up a pretty large percentage of the current cases.

Yep. So the idea is not to let the NYCs of our country become the next Italy. But it's looking like that might already be too late due to idiot in chief.

Laughable.

You need to take a Xanax or maybe some some weed. Did you get this upset about Sars or West Nile? Stop watching the news for a few days and get some other stimulation. You'll stroke out in a few weeks with this Hysteria

USA's numbers are rising as we increase testing. Every country's numbers will increase as testing increases. If we stopped testing all together, the numbers would drop. Would you be all be happy then, or would you still be hiding under your bed with your helmet on?

In China, the crematorium workers were saying on interviews that the death rates from Covid19 were only taken of patients who died in hospitals. 60% or more who died at home are not in the statistics.

That's a similar story to Italy, whereby a majority of deaths occur at home, not in the overcrowded hospitals, and only those in hospitals are counted in the statistics.

So to be safe, just double the death rates should give you a more closer approximation.

Is there a source for this information, or we can only go by what "the workers" said "on the interviews"

One of the popular models puts the peak at 2,100 deaths on April 13 (1 day high) & 81,000 total deaths by August 3. That's if social distancing is maintained. Much lower than the gloomier models, and I'd be surprised if it doesn't take longer to reach 80k.

Compared to just a few days ago, all you MAGAtards thought COVID-19 was a hoax. Even your lord & savior Trump a few weeks said we would soon have zero cases. Today we have 104,860 cases and 1590 deaths.

We are dealing with two egregious pandemics. COVID-19 and Stupidity.

Every post you make is proof you’ve already caught one of them and been carrying it for quite a while.

Lets hope you don’t catch the Coronavirus as well.

United States is also one of the least population dense countries in the world. Like 80/100 of the most populous countries. Italy and China were geographically closer to the origin of the virus, therefore they are weeks ahead of us in terms of the spread. So we had plenty of warning, the MAGAtards squandered what could have been a 2 week head start. Fast forward to today, and we have the most coronavirus cases in the entire world. Soon it will be measurable in multiples of 2x, 3x, etc.

Given the fact our density is so low, we have no excuse for performing anywhere near as bad as the most profoundly impacted countries by COVID-19. We're the richest country in the world, with the lowest population density of pretty much every other country of the most populous countries, yet we handled the virus far worse than countries like Taiwan (who EXPERTLY handled it beside their dangerous proximity to china).

You incomprehsibly dumb motherfuckers are going to get Joe Biden, a fucking child molester who has dementia, elected as our next president.

That decision has no relevance whatsoever to the post you quoted. How does that protect americans from COVID-19? That was a PR stunt, and an abysmal decision. We need that equipment now way more than China ever did. The MAGAtards at the white house probably were thinking "here you go, we don't need that. It's not like a pandemic will ever happen in the U.S.".

As far as production of goods in a short time, China beats the brakes off the U.S. in this category.

The entire state of New York only has 3,200 ICU beds.

So we weren't able to stop it from getting out of hand like Taiwan expertly did. And we were not able to contain it nor be ultra-efficient with our production of necessary facilities and equipment like China has. Complete fail.

So, at best, it's worse than we think. We think we have a pandemic, because we don't test so well, but really we have a major pandemic?

2100 is estimated as the peak on 4/13. We had 401 deaths Friday and 525 yesterday. Might be close.
