What is the fake news narrative going around Fox News, MSNBC, CNN, etc now? Last time I heard, the fake conservatives (aka corporate socialists) were saying that poor people need to go back to work to die so that the economy isn't lessened for our grandchildren.

Cool straw man. Apparently nobody is allowed to even open the dialogue of when people can go back to work. 3.3 million unemployed in 1 week? 25% loss of GDP.

There are people who can’t put food on the tables right now. But no we can’t even have the conversation when they can work again?

Two big caveats regarding global testing data:

1) Testing standards vary by country

2) Not every country is providing full results (China)

https://www.cnn.com/2020/03/26/health/number-of-cases-testing-data-intl/index.html

I understand it is hard for some of the more autistic members of the OG to comprehend why just regurgitating global data without scrutiny is a problem, but it is something Fauci and Birx have both talked about as well, in addition to reporters from WaPo, CNN, NYT, Fox News, etc.

There are some particularly queer Americans who want to root against the country's collective health because they think it will hurt Trump (which is demented), but again, the actual data is not as absolute as your smooth, smooth brain wishes it was.

No we can not. We need to all stay home and die so people don’t die

Even if we assume China is lying, we've passed Italy, which is still indicative of a pandemic.

Do we have to double China's reported numbers? Triple? Which multiplier do you need before you're convinced it's truely a pandemic?

New York 100 deaths in one day. What number do you want it to be then? 1000? 10,000?

Even if we assume China is lying, your logic leads to a dead end. There's no point there.

When did I say it wasn't a pandemic?

I am saying just looking at raw numbers, and not taking anything else into account (esp. per capita) is stupid.

My logic is providing context to raw data. Your logic is using raw data you are too stupid to comprehend to ramble on about political gripes.

Stop being such a faggot.

Fake narrative. COVID-19 isn't replacing flu deaths. This is the worst flu season in history BEFORE COVID-19 came into the picture.

It's additive. We have the flu deaths and COVID-19 deaths. Only one has a vaccine.

It's not a comparison, it's an addition. There's no subtraction occuring here. Learn some set theory bro.

Some things to consider.

We have way more people than Italy.
China was able to quarantine Wuhan / full quarantine / military lock down
I think we all know they gave bs low numbers. I think they had 4x or more what they reported.
Our country travels a lot more than avg. businessmen , tourists , College kids etc.. it spread quickly here & dumb practices spring break, Mardi Gras ,, etc

Of course we passed Italy. The US has over 5x the population if Italy.

Blow up all the bridges, flood all the tunnels, and build a wall around New York city / New Jersey metropolitan area. They account for well over half the Bat Soup virus infections in the USA. Make Escape From New York a reality.

Far less density though. Plus, we're the richest country in the world and we had Italy's mistakes to learn from. If you told anyone on this board a week or two ago we'd lead the world in Coronavirus infections, they'd never believe you.

According to Trump's own doctor, Coronavirus is at least an order of magnitude (read: 10x) more serious than the flu.

Far less density in most of the country. There's obviously a reason NYC makes up a pretty large percentage of the current cases.

Yep. So the idea is not to let the NYCs of our country become the next Italy. But it's looking like that might already be too late due to idiot in chief.
