About to pull the trigger on some EH Taylor Small Batch for $40. Is it decent? My favorite daily is Wild Turkey 101, and all time favorite is Rare Breed.

It is my favorite for bourbons in that price range.

Ditto, one of my favs.

Thanks. I'll pick up a bottle tomorrow afternoon. I got Russell's Reserve 10 year tonight. Pretty tasty for $27

Something new called screwball. It's peanut butter whiskey.  Pretty good straight up, terrible as a mixer.

After a shitty day at work, just cracked open a bottle of Russells Reserve 6 year old Rye and watching the US Open and college football. Raising a glass to relaxing for the night.

I struck out at the liquor stores, but found 3 sealed decanters at an antique shop. whiskey was made at the earliest in 1972, so minimum 47 year old bourbon in all 3.

That's a pretty cool find.

It is similar to OF1920

I've had both many times.......

And aside from proof......they taste nothing like each other.

Side note:  Knob Creek 12-14yr Store Picks are an awesome value

Picked up a bottle of Little Book Chapter 2 "Noe Simple Task" today for my birthday present to myself. Don't know what the inside of the bottle will be like yet, but Booker's packaging once again is excellent.

Bought some cask strength single barrel Hickory Hollow to try.  I prefer bourbon over just some big ice.  Holy hell this is some disgusting bourbon.  Do not recommend at all.   To keep from wasting it I use it to make old fashioned.  Still not the best, but tolerable.

Picked up a bottle of BT the other day for the first time in a while.  Impressed me.  I think i may have done a 180 and now like bourbon over scotch.

I scored a bottle of stagg jr batch 12 yesterday.  Even though it is a slightly higher proof (132.3) than the previous batches I've tried.  It doesn't come across that  way.  At $52, this one is tough to beat.
