In my opinion, removing some of the fans later in the flowering stage makes sense if you are worried about air flow. Not during veg. 

Consider the fan leaves like a bunch of solar panels. They are a key component of vegetative growth

Maybe your right. I am far from being an expert at this, I did notice once I removed them it got a lot bushier

Weird. My response never posted...

 

who knows how much to be honest. Lots of time left and lots that could affect yield. Could be 1/2lb, could be 3lb plus. Those are super healthy and have great bud producing structure, but ya don’t know till harvest. They get hit with October mold and I could get nada. 

For regular photoperiod plants, in this region, your looking at mid May start, mid October finish. You can also grow autoflowering plants now that have much shorter grow cycles, but they won’t be as big as their photoperiod sisters.
