Sleep training my toddler is a pain and she’s in my bed by 9:30 every night. I know she would sleep better if I put a tv in her bedroom.

Really unsure about what to do.

Maybe do a tablet (with kids mode or something) you can take away at any time? Could rig up a mount.

I would only use it to play her shows through a usb, I know she would fall a sleep easier with it in her room.

But don’t want her to get into bad habits.

I dont believe in having a tv in your room.  I dont have one as an adult either.  The bedroom is for 2 things - sleeping and screwing.  But, I dont have cable, satellite, Netflix, Hulu or even an antenna.  We just watch a movie from time to time.

Never allowed my kids to have a TV in their room. Although as smart phones became a thing, they would watch on their phone.

I've only had a tv in my room once, for about 2 weeks. Fucking hated it. I can only listen to music when I sleep.

Yup.

OP, you dont want to turn your kid into one of those people who, "can't sleep without the TV on". Those people are major faggots who are getting a lower quality of sleep.

No TV, no computer in the kids bedroom. All in livingroom. Of course we have TVs, computers, tablets in our bedroom.

I was never allowed one as a kid and to this day I’ve never had a TV in my bedroom.

I’m 42.

I was about 10 or 11. But back then it was a 13" black and white TV and only got 3 channels. No remote, no nothing. I used it to play a cheap Radio Shack version of Pong.

I don’t see what’s the big deal. I don’t remember ever NOT having a tv in my room. That sounds like poor people problems.

You dumbass, it’s not about being able to afford a tv. You can find a decent one for $100 for the room

its about kids watching enough tv as it is and then putting one in their room to boot

as a teenager sure put one in their room, but I hardly doubt a five year old needs one

Get a consistent sleep routine(perhaps read before bed time) to prep a toddler for bed time. Stay in the room if needed until toddler sleeps. Do this routine until you are no longer needed. Involved parenting is better than tv parenting
