Was reading Zned's thread about what Bloomberg said about the talking points during the last democratic debate ensuring that Trump will will re-election and it got me thinking about this question.  What would you say are the causes of it?

Lazy, piece is shit people who have never faced any sort of real adversity are looking for handouts because they are led to believe they are victims of some imaginary evil capitalist devil.

They call these people “Greg Bradys”

the disappearing middle >

ppl having a lower standard of living than their parents

all of the abuses of capitalism weve seen in the last 40 yrs, golden parachutes, whole towns being wiped out because factories get shipped to China to make an executive's bonus, Enron, Madoff, etc.

the kids coming up want nothing to do with the system that chewed up their factory worker dad and spit him out and have even less to offer him.

More time to play Xbox and post on Twitter if you don't have to work for a living.

Because the whole 'free market capitalism is awesome and trickle down economics benefits everyone!' only works if you A) contain everything inside the country B) use people power instead of automation.
Robots and outsourcing everything to other countries means the rich keep benefiting but the rest of the population become welfare recipients.
No one has any real answer to it. Obama used to just yell 'American exceptionalism' which I think meant 'some smart guy will invent our way out of the problem' and Trump's idea is to get rid of regulations.

Democratic socialism, big difference. Bernie’s not for taking over regular buissness. It’s to compete with first world standard of living like Canada and Germany. 65,000 unecessary deaths from being uncovered is a failed system, so is education. You guys on here love clinging onto a broken Oligarchy, Times up, Canada is not Cold War Russia you dumbasses lol.

"In 1985, the typical male worker could cover a family of four's major expenditures (housing, health care, transportation, education) on 30 weeks of salary. By 2018 it took 53 weeks."

Boredom.  There are so few real problems that people have to get creative and make up problems.

Heystro -

Dumbed down population and lazy people wanting more "free stuff". Not realizing tax payers (home, businesses, and property owners) foot the bill.

I absolutely LOVE the fact that I as a property owner pay for the local schools, but the guy renting the house down the way pays nothing.

Fucking absurd.

We are more likely to find the American Dream in places like Venzuela where a pound of bread is worth more than a pound of currency.

For many of the same reasons Trump is popular, honestly.

We've had 10+ years of solid economic growth that has generated massive wealth, but inequality has soared and working class people have seen next to none of the gains. Wage growth has not kept up with cost of living while corporate earnings and the stock market have broken record after record. People are looking for answers.

Lack of knowledge and research. Looking for a short term fix and not worrying how it would crush our economy.

"The wealth held by the poorest half of American households increased three times as fast as the wealth held by the “1%” since Trump became president.

On average, Americans have seen a 17% jump in household wealth since Trump’s election, while wealth at the bottom half has increased 54%."

The answer to our wealth disparity is to vote out the liberal's. Their policies destroy the the middle Examples: every liberal bastion in the US.
