Like all of Jordan Peele's work. Overrated due to everyone having white guilt. When you watch the movies there's bits and pieces that are cool but overall are kinda garbage.

Exactly ^

Get Out. Was pretty cool & had good acting. It was fine but not a classic or even scary

US. The movie had some cool scenes but I was so ready for it to be over. That dumb raspy voice & lack of realism annoyed the shit out of me. Imo it was shit because so many people said it was great.

I’m a huge Horror & Whore fan. The original Texas chainsaw is one of the best. A few of the Sequels or remakes were shit. A couple were good though.

Leprechaun and CHUD (assuming the 1984 version) were cheesy to the point of being funny in their entertainment.  CHUD is a cult and Leprechaun was notable as Jennifer Aniston’s Movie debut.

Terrifier.

While the guy who did the silent makeup clown was not a bad actor, and the movie did tick the torture porn box is that’s what you want to see...

There was no background of why the bad guy was bad (or silent) or why he targeted particular people, and there was virtually no plot whatsoever.  Just some silent clown in makeup going from killing to killing.

The first time I watched Get Out I thought it was pretty good. Then seeing how hight everyone had it ranked, I watched it again, I wasn't in to it nearly as much. Might be one of the most overrated ones there is.

I did like US though.

As far as big budget horror movies, Blair Witch 2 was pretty bad.

  • I was just listening to a podcast where they were giving the worst one for every year of the 2010's. They had It Follows as the worst of 2014, and The Witch as the worst of 2015. Both are great imo. What are some of "the worst" ones you've seen?

Sounds like retards.

It follows was pretty decent and the the witch is a masterpiece.

Yeah, from what I gather it's one of the more popular podcasts(I think) "Post Mordem"

The only other one I remember off the top of my head was 2010's worst was The Nightmare On Elm Street remake.

You guys do realize that the kid in The Babadook was meant to be annoying af right? The story was an allegory of his mother's resentment of him due to the fact that her husband died taking her to the hospital to have him. Her resentment, and resulting anger formed the psychological presence that manifested itself as 'The Babadook'. She created it and only she could beat the monster by letting go of her bitterness.

The entire movie we're meant to understand how she could be so hateful (and at times neglectful) of him by making the kid so completely over the top annoying, that at the end of the day we're not sure we even blame mom at all.

circle was excellent, tho more of a psychological sci fi thriller than horror but there are def some horror elements to it. something different right.

I do, that''s just a comon complaint when the movie is brought up. I like it enought that I've watched 2 or 3 times. I'll probably buy it at some point.

Await further instructions was another weird one that if u liked circle ud probably dig. I thought circle was better tho. Cheers.

A good one I watched recently was with Nicolas Cage actually, the color out of space, baed on the hp lovecraft story. quite good I must say for a newer horror flick.
